Is it just me or has curry been getting off to poor starts a lot lately.

I would disagree, but your prerogative.

I think that has something to do with Green handling the point a lot lately. Early in the season Curry had a lot of PnR action and that was gone from his game now. He has become more of a spot up shooter now.

True it also looks like his early season attitude dialed back a lot when he wanted to get klay out of his rut and it never returned, id venture to say that there offense may have gotten worse as they tried to incorporate more draymond handling, it also takes energy away from him on defense.
Now that they essentially have to win every game to tie the record do you think they'd go 100% every game in order to get it or rather do you think kerr will sit guys

Re: The Stephen Curry Thread (2015-16 Pt. 1)
This one's looking less likely by the second. 69-9 with 4 games remaining, 2 vs. Memphis, 2 vs. SAS. 73-9 could happen I suppose but they'd have to play with laser focus. 72-10 seems like a decent bet, but it wouldn't surprise me if San Antonio took both games either.
GSW will not be able to tie the 40-1 home record of the 86 Celtics either (though SAS is going for 41-0) and are now going to be 45-9 after the 24-0 start. They've put up an 8.7 SRS in those 54 games.

Stunned. They haven't looked like the same team for quite a while now, and it's finally starting to result in some losses. They also look a bit tight as they get to the doorstep of this record.

Scoring wise, probably the worst game of the season for Curry. Just yuck.

Is anyone seeing shades of the 2013 Heat a little bit with this team with them looking exhausted the last few games? The difference is that they are still healthy, Wade was pretty much done in the PS so GSW should be good but now you have 4 must-win games to get to 73. Do you start resting or do you go for it and risk your guys getting tired?

Bulls in 1996 lost 2 games at home in April as well. Started to play guys less minutes. Warriors will still have best record in league probably makes sense at least last 2 games to sit out all starters if they lose one of the games to San Antonio coming up.

Only if the Warriors rest their guys

Otherwise rest your guys and hope that your B team keeps the game competitive to tire out the Warriors.

The home game he probably will since they are two games away from going undefeated at home.

Partof me thinks he plays them if its a game for the record. Sort of "honoring the record".

Yeah, I definitely think Pop is going for 41-0. They can make history and prevent Warriors from getting 73 in one shot.

Re: The Stephen Curry Thread (2015-16 Pt. 1)
GSW SRS in 2015 was +10.01 and 2016 after tonight should be about +10.20 despite a slightly higher pace. Their Pythagorean win count is going to be similar or identical to last season (65-17), and the difference in actual wins is explainable by their dominance in close games (as colts pointed out two pages back) which has seen some normalizing results in the last few games.
Notably they've been less healthy this season than last season. Curry/Dray/Klay/Iggy/Barnes all played at least 77 G last year and Bogut played 67. This year Iggy/Barnes in particular missed significant time.
All that said, I've seen nothing over the course of the season that would suggest to me that I should believe they're better than San Antonio. I think maxed out/healthy 16 Warriors > 15 Warriors, but I think 2016 SAS is a slightly stronger GOAT contender - missed time across the board, less top heavy/broader rotation, more consistent level of play despite missed time, seemingly higher level of play by SRS despite lower pace, greater experience across the roster, Popp vs. Kerr, etc.

He's a venture capitalist and losing this game is just part of his immaculate planning.
