Kostas at nike hoop summit

Height (w/ shoes): 6-9.75
Weight: 188
Wingspan: 7-1.75
Hand Length:: 9.25
Hand Width: 9
Standing Reach: : 8-11.5
Country: : Greece

The third Atetokounmpo brother isn't quite as big as Giannis, but his frame is more similar to his than that of the shorter, stronger Thanasis. He lacks great bulk at this stage, which was also true of Giannis at the same point, but his 6'9.75 frame and 7-1.75 wingspan give him similarly impressive combination of size and length. He certainly has the tools to play power forward at the college level.

he has surprisingly pretty small hands compared to giannis

I was really worried before this year we wouldn't get the best brother. I'm not convinced either of his younger brothers will be the best player in the League so it appears my worry was misplaced.

If the team has a record like the Bucks have post ASB it's hard to see any player on that roster being considered a top 10 guy no matter what his stats are.

Closest comp would've been Love but he also had to put up huge numbers for multiple seasons to be considered top ten and even then there were plenty of people keeping him out of that category simply because his team was still so bad

Record really only matters for MVP consideration. Anthony Davis is a top 10 player and his team will finish the season with less wins than we will.

Code: Select all

Games    -  MIN  PTS  REB  AST BLK STL TO  A/TO
2014/15  - 31.4 12.7  6.7  2.6 1.0 0.9 2.1  1.2
First 54 - 34.8 16.0  7.3  2.8 1.2 1.0 2.5  1.1
Last  22 - 36.9 19.0  8.4  7.8 1.8 1.5 2.5  3.1

Last 22 = point Giannis.
Only 2.1 more minutes per game then in the 1st 54 games.

True but it's also due in part to said record that certain people are starting to criticize AD for not being the player they thought he could be even though he's been pretty damn good.

Giannis' rankings with his stats as PG (22 games):

Code: Select all

Cat.       av.  no.   Rank other players
Points:   19.0  25.   24. D. Wade     19.2
Rebounds:  8.4  25.   23. LM Aldridge  8.6
                      25. K. Durant    8.3
Assists:   7.8   6.    5. R. Rubio     8.7
                       6. J. Harden    7.5
                          D. Green     7.5
                       8. LB. James    6.8
                          D. Lilard    6.8
                      10. S. Curry     6.7
Blocks:    1.82  9.    8. K. Porzingis 1.86
                       9. B. Lopez     1.70
                      10. KA. Towns    1.69
Steals:    1.55 22.   26. D. Green     1.51
A/TO:      3.13  7.    7. R. Rondo     3.02

So in all these categories he's top 25 and in 3 of them he's in the top 10. All in all definitely top 20, maybe top 15. Top 10 if he gets these stats for the year?

Giannis working out with Lebron even for a week would be the best possible way to develop his game.

Though it can't hurt, Giannis doesn't even need to work out with anyone. Just keep shooting until your arms fall off dude, you'll be the best player in the NBA

Put me in the camp that says... meh...

Yea it would be great if they go at one each other 1on1 everyday but I really don't think a summer training with him will be something magical. Does Lebron's HGH magically rub off on Giannis? He probably would be better off training with Jabari and developing chemistry.

I would much rather have Lebron spurn him. Giannis putting up a photo of lebron with a x through it above his bed and working on his j to destroy lebron when they match up.

Not that it shouldn't be his (possibly highest) priority, but the jumper is just one thing that Giannis is missing.

He needs to work on other parts of his game and Lebron would be the best possible candidate to help him out. There's a reason Middleton improved from working out with Wade.

I also don't think Lebron is going to have any interest in showing Giannis the ropes. Why would he? Giannis will be competing against him for titles sooner or later, might as well not accelerate that process

LBJ is the best all-around player atm, maybe even the goat (along with Magic), but as a passer, how much better is he than Kidd, that Giannis has the chance to be trained all season??
No hay banda.

It's not like Lebron is going to spend the summer training with Giannis, we are talking about a couple of days. While nothing bad can come out of this and he should definitely go, I don't consider it a big thing either. First priority is to work on his jumper and in the future he can go to Hakeem to improve his post moves.

Costas hasnt shown anything related to a good basketball player. He has some great genes but his skill level is very low as it is right now.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
