I'd be all for Thon Maker using the OKC pick.

Get to the point where you'll be ok with Simmons or Ingram, and you'll probably be ok at the end of the day.

I legit had a dream last night where we ended up picking 4th and 5th. Never had a lottery related dream before. So I hope it doesn't mean anything lol.

Id def use the OKC pick on Thon Maker and see what you can develop out of him.
Kids young and his size, raw ability will intrigue people as the process goes on.

Players like Thon have a really high bust quotient, but the risk becomes worth it in the 20's I think. I would be terrified to take him in the top 10 though.

Yea im not taking him in the top 10, but outside the lottery??? Sheet, Id roll the dice.
Thats how OKC ends up with someone like Ibaka. Clippers end up with DeAndre Jordan. Etc Etc.
You take Thon with 1 of the MIA/OKC pick, and just commit to developing him. We can use the D-League as a tool to give him consistent minutes if need be, but he's well worth the home run swing IMO, especially with the state of our roster.
If Embiid comes back, your likely moving 1 of Noel/Okafor. Would be fine with having a high upside young talent like Thon developing in the background.

Re: 2016 NBA Draft/College Basketball Thread
What a great game. It's exactly how you would dream to win a title.
I was always Temple number 1, and Nova number 2, but when Chaney retired I fell back on Nova.
This is a pretty sweet feeling.
Other than the Phillies wining the World Series, this is the closest that I have gotten to a championship as a fan. Pretty pathetic...

I have at least seen all my teams play for a championship, I'll take that.
Packers won in 2010
Sixers played in 2001
Flyers played in 2010
Phillies won in 2008
Nova just won.
Could be worse.

I need another professional Philly team championship so I can truly celebrate in my prime years.
I was a freshman in high school when the Phillies won.

I would absolutely love GPII with our 2nd round pick. Still not on the Ingram train, he's too weak. Not gonna select a glorified 3pt shooter with a top 2 pick. Ben/Buddy/Dunn/Murray for me with our top pick.

We don't have a 2nd round pick. You don't want Ingram with the 2nd pick, because he is a glorified 3 point shooter but you don't mind picking Murray (or Hield)?

Re: 2016 NBA Draft/College Basketball Thread
Buddys actually a better shooter than Ingram soooo....I mean, everyone pretty much wants Ingram because he can shoot 3s and nothing else, why not go with the actual better shooter then? The whole league is going nuts for the next Steph/Klay, ummmm Buddys the closest and cats dont want him? This is how a steph/klay ends up on a GSW because all these "experts" say these dudes cant play in the NBA because they dont do windmills on fastbreaks. I care about who can put it in the basket period. Buddy Hield would be our Klay Thompson, which is what we need if we plan on using Embiid & Okafor efficiently. Ben Simmons is a true dynamic 3 who can do many things, Ingram is just a shooter. If I'm picking a 3, I want someone with a multifaceted game who can help the team in many categories. If I want a shooter I'll go with hield.

I'm not sure you've seen any Ingram games. Otherwise you wouldn't be saying he's just "a glorified shooter". He plays great defense, has handles, passes very well (not as well as Simmons, but most don't), and he limits his turnovers as a playmaker.
Oh yea, he's also 6'9 with a 7'3 wingspan and runs like a guard.
Hield is good, and he should be a top 10 pick, but he's not the prospect that Ingram is.
