He's also a terrible drafter passed on Drummond to select Ross.

Hinkie out - Great move. He's an asset collector, not a team builder.

BC in - Horrible move. He's a buffoon.

This isn't gonna end well....I can already feel it. Total panic moves by owners who set up a plan and buckled on it before it ever blossomed.

I don't even think he wants Bryan.

Not a Sixers fan, but I think it is odd that so many of you are upset that he is leaving. You really think he was going to keep tanking the franchise enough years to draft a lineup of stars? Sounds plausible to plan to be bad long enough to get high picks which will result in a core of young stars, much harder to put that plan in practice year in and year out while keeping your job when little progress is being made.

Hinkie's primary job (paying off the debts of the previous regime and acquiring assets) has arguably been completed. Colangelo (Jerry and now likely Bryan) will get a lot of credit for this rebuild once the team gets good, but Hinkie (his faults notwithstanding) will deserve a lot if not most of the credit.

sort of disappointed

not super upset that Hinkie is out even though I liked him, the painful part of the rebuild is over.
more upset that Bryan freaking Colangelo is coming in.

Hinkie sort of brought this on himself. I'm frustrated that he didn't fully understand the PR aspect of being a GM. If he had, we might not be in this position today.

Incinerating 3 years to bring in Bryan Colaneglo is about the worst end to the whole thing that could possibly have happened.

Im waiting for the tweet stating that we will be bringing back Billy King and Ed Stefanski as "Co-GM's" .

Brett Brown canned for Pringles who hires Eddie Jordan as lead assistant and they will sell us on Buddy Hield and the 7 second Princeton offense.

God why does this organization have to be so awful.....seriously.

Not to sound rude or anything but do any of you people use logic before you say things? Have you paid any attention the the 76ers before Hinkie came here? Why would anybody plan to tank every year? We have been hit with horrible luck, why isn't that ever brought into the arguments?

The thing is you can sell me on getting rid of Hinkie but this nepotism is bull. I'm terrified of what BC will do. He has a singular solid move (selecting DD) on his entire raps resume. This is as close to done as I've ever been.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably
