Winslow = mctrash mid-level (5-6 mil)
Jrich - deng money (10mil)

I would give to them right now though I'd like to wait a little longer to make sure that Jrich's shooting is legit (it's most likely legit but FT% needs to be above 80% for it to make sense.. he doesn't get to the FT line enough to confirm so it's TBD for next season)

Thank god we got them both as rookies this season. Almost a miracle if not a miracle :)

Rich was an 80% FT shooter last 2 seasons at Tennessee. FT shooting isn't as much of an issue as it seems.

Agreed. Small sample size. Hope his 3 point shooting is not aberration since he wasn't that great of a 3 pt shooter at Tennessee. I believe in hard work paying off.

Give him MAX :)

Just kidding.. I believe that both Justise and Jrich have max potential but long ways to go.

The small sample size on Richardson would be a little scary if I was a GM looking at him. Winslow's shooting hasn't gotten any better yet both could be really good over a long time. The answers obviously will be clearer when decisions have to be made. That is why I was curious. What about Tyler Johnson who was looking good before he got hurt?

Lemme ask a quick question: are people seriously considering the notion that j-rich is right now and might be a better player and prospect than winslow? I just wanna check the temperature, cause imo its not even close , Winslow is clearly where the moneys at maneeee.

and to answer the question, winslow would get like 10-11 and j-rich would scratch 8-9 imo

I have no idea, between the two I know that Justise is the one I'd rather have long term and I'm sure most teams would feel the same.

I think Justise could get 4yr $60mill on the open market. Obviously he isn't worth that now but I think young up and coming teams would be willing to gamble on his upside in the hopes that he'd one day be worth his contract if not out perform it.

I think J Rich could get a deal comparable to the one Rio had. Something like 4yr 16mill. He's going to be 23 next season, unlike with Justise there isn't the hope of massive upside behind a second round pick coming off of 4 years of college play.

That doesn't mean that he can't prove people wrong and become a great player but I doubt many teams would be willing to shell out a ton of money for a 6 and 2 guy who's been hot from 3.

I feel the same way, as Heat fans we aren't really used to young 19 year old players. Wade and Caron were old rookies and Beasley while young never improved. So a lot of people get caught up in the immediate results which is J Rich bombing away 3's at and insane rate.

With that said Justise is undoubtedly the better prospect. He'll be J Rich's age in 2019. When we all come back to this then I think the difference between the two of them will be clear. Winslow might never be the sexy 3pt shooter but as we can already see from a defensive stand point, he's just head and shoulders above everyone on our team. Watching the two rookies defend Justise looks like the the 4yr senior rather than the one and done that he is.

I agree with the general sentiment. I'm just so lovestruck with the almost unprecedented out of nowhere 3 point prowess of Jrich at the moment  It's a kind of dream that you never want to wake up from. I've followed NBA for quite some time, the jumps Whiteside made at the FT line and Jrich did with the 3 pointer (compared to his so-so shooting in college) are something you don't see very often. :noway:

Pls don't come back down to earth Jrich

Not everyone can keep improving forever like Frank Iggie. :(

I'm not trying to say that J Rich can't become a star. Hassan was a 2nd round pick, hell Goran was a 2nd round pick, he was chosen 45th overall(11 picks after Chalmers :o ). So anything is possible.

Not to mention that Winslow is a physical freak. He has a body of a Greek God, and he's extremely intelligent, regardless of age.

Winslow is the better prospect but no ones knows what will happen with either. Right now JRich is better but I agree when Winslow is 22 hell hopefully be better than JRich is right now.

I'd argue that Winslow is the overall better player at the moment. JRich has the more valuable skill to this current version of the team which is his catch and shot jumper - and that is obv cash money right now.

The role Winslow plays on this team doesn't really allow him to showcase his full offensive arsenal. I think if he played for the sixers for example, as one of the primary options, he'd average 14 ppg 7 reb and 4 ast right now. He can attack the basket like an animal, and handle the ball in the pick in roll game pretty well. He's gonna be shooting so many free throws in his career lol. I'd argue that Jrich, if playing for the sixers, might have the same or lesser stats as he does now - post all star game level I'm referencing. His impact is dependant on how well his teammates set him up. I don't trust him with the ball yet.

I just think since both of these guys get the majority of their scoring opportunities in catch and shoot situations, jrich appears more impressive cause hes unconscious from distance at the moment lol and better at the skill, but I don't think its a proper representation of their potential offensive impact even for this season.
