Hopefully you guys can come out with some real stud perimeter players. Ingram and Murray/Hield

Brian will be running the day-to-day stuff. Jerry will still be calling the shots. It may not be as bad as everybody is making it out to be.

Send emails, send tweets, Facebook messages, etc etc. I mean, you guys can do whatever the hell you want with your own time and dime, but just being "I'm a Sixers fan so I'm still going to support them" is not going to bring the change you want. It'll just lead to more of this and more of this, and I don't know about you guys, but I'm just tired of it. Have been close to a championship once in almost 35 years now. Just when I thought they figured it out, they pissed it all away.
They won't get another dime or a second of my time. But even that isn't enough for me. They ruined something I was in favor of, so in my vengeful way, I want to see things ruined for them so they know how it feels. I want to see the look on Colangelo's face when they get pick #4 and miss out on the Lakers pick and end up leaving the draft of a 10 win season with Kris Dunn. Those tears would be mighty delicious.
Getting the 4th pick will support the idea that the Collangelo's needed to change the course drastically because it will show that we can't count on luck. Not that we were counting on luck, but it will certainly show the downside of Hinkie's plan.
You want a statement to be made supporting Hinkie then you want Ben Simmons and a healthy Embiid because the ONLY reason that we could get those two things in three years would be because of Hinkie and the plan.

I like Brown as a coach in a lot of ways--he's great with the press, seems like he gets players to play hard, and his player-development vision is second-to-none.
If they hired Thibodeau at this point in the process I'd be behind it if and only if they actually listened to his input. Give Thibs these assets and coaching control and we'd be contenders in no time.
You won't see me cry over a 10-win GM but BB is another story. If he is let go I will have real issue with the character of the front office.

LOL....the roles have changed.....the majority of this forum is going to bitch and moan; while I'm the optimistic one.....every trade and draft pick BC makes will be praised by me....LOL

Secondly Mike D'Antoni as our coach is all but a guarantee and that would be the worst part about all of this. This is a tough minded, defensive gritty city. We are not flash and style. It simply will not work with D'Antoni as our coach. It will be a miracle if anyone else is considered for the job. Sadly I feel that Brett Browns lifeline was connected to Hinkie and he will be the next to go.
Josh is a flat out A hole! No other way to describe him, I first felt the fakeness of him when we had the Iverson ceremony a couple years back and he spoke to Iverson in front of the crowd. He clearly only cares about money and I get that, but he can still make his living while passionately caring for this franchise. Until we get an owner that actually cares about this team, we will continue to have things like this happen. We do this consistently though....we get rid of the positives and replace them with negatives. This is going to be a disaster, Colangelo is right on par with Billy King, so essentially we're back to him, just in a different form. They have the same type of thought process. I full out expect a trade to go down for Derrick Rose as our point guard, and an Al Horford max deal. It'll look great to the casual fan, but the results will be awful.
yea; why would you want to be Suns east? why would you want to win 55-60 games every year? much more fun celebrating acquiring 2nd round picks...and then trading them for future 2nd round picks

Here's the thing there are certain facts. BC has a record. His record is there for the league to see it why he couldn't even get a job with the lowly Nets and his daddy had to hire him.
Sam Hinkie has a record. He has certain draft picks he's acquired and people who he's selected. We will judge him on that. We will not allow BC to take credit for Hinkie work. Not that it will matter anyways. Eventually the truth will come out doesn't matter if it takes him 5-6 years to squander the assets that Hinkie gave him. It will happen because at the end of the day he's terrible at his job.

Record tells you Hinkie was the GM of the worst NBA team in any period of three years. And for that historically bad record in three years He should have net us historically excellent talent back to at least make all this process to be worthwhile. So Hope both Embiid and Simmons(if we can get him) will pan out as a sixer or I don't know how some of you Hinkie die hard fans can live with that.

Ha, I actually said to my friend last night that I could totally see Howie Roseman hiring him.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good streams to listen to Philly talk radio today? I want to listen to all things Hinkie as they killed the beautiful process.

Just very dissappointed he didn't get the chance to work this summer. We actually cannot judge him.
He did break the team apart very quick and solid.
He got a lot in return.
His drafting was good, not super.
His trading was good, but he never got in the position to make the 'big splash' trade, the most difficult ones.
This will be done by the Colangelo's now.

So because the Cubs were bad under Theo for a number of years he's an awful GM? Because the Astros were bad under Luh(can't spell his name) for a period number of years he's awful GM.
It was part of the plan Hinkie and ownership came up together. Could he have executed it better? Maybe, but I doubt it.
