I didn't even know this was up for debate now. Maybe early on in the season, but RJ is more important to this team seeing as how we're in an golden era of PGs.

And yes, he has been our overall best player for us not Dre. It hasn't been Dre for a while now.

Yeah Reggie is our best player right now. Andre was at the beginning of the season, but he's fallen off. Hopefully he can take that next step and be like he was for the first 20 games for 82 games.

A lot of people don't like Reggie and I feel like most people consider Andre our best player because he gets more national publicity and made the All Star team.

For context they were 27-27 at the all star break and went 0-2 with Tobias on the bench.

Dre is the most talented and obviously the most upside but yeah, Reggie is the best player on the roster right now. Dre has to be able to play in the 4th quarter and close out games first.

You're right, he does get more recognition with accolades and such. I think it just he's more marketable and has been shoehorned into the face of the franchise since we had no true stars at the guard or forwards spots until SVG came along. The reality is, the center position is really weak right now, that's not a knock on Dre nor am I minimizing his accomplishments though. Like DTP said, he's still our most valuable asset and player because of what he can bring to the table in the future.

Good. Let's put this in the past and cause a little havoc in the playoffs!

A couple games ago Reggie was a scrub and Marcus was our best player. Now Drummond is overrated, Reggie is a star, and no one cares about Marcus lol. A couple weeks ago Dre was our best player and Reggie was a ball hog. A month before that neither were stars and Stanley was the true leader of the team lol.

Some nights some guys are better than others. That's the NBA. Why do Pistons fans suddenly need a defined best player? That was never an issue with the 00s team. They're were viewed as a team, and every night a different guy was the star, and no one cared who it was as long as they won. I don't understand why it matters now. Just win baby.

We are aware.

Sorry, just can't stand poor sportsmanship especially when it's directed at your own team. I don't hate him but he clearly has some mental growth that needs to happen.

this time I give him a pass, for the fourth time in season he was raped by Marcin Freakin' Gortat and he was a little bit hurted.

This is just seeing what you want to see. The centers just about canceled each other out.
Gortat had 8 pts and 4 rebs.
Drummond had 8 pts and 6 rebs.
Nene had 13 pts and 4 rebs.
Baynes had 12 pts and 5 rebs.

So, in just about the same minutes (about 1 less for Dre) Gortat had equal pts and 2 fewer rebounds, and this is rape? You should write for Rolling Stone.

Obviously this wasn't one of Drummond's better games, but the old saying "familiarity breeds contempt" comes to mind around here a lot.

Just wait two weeks from now, they'll be demanding to trade everyone.

 Gortat raped Drummond with 8 pts & 4 rebs LOL

If that's the basketball equivalent to raping, I wonder what he calls what Markieff did to Tobias and Beal did to KCP.

Return to Detroit Pistons
