Suns @ Pelicans

Post#1 » by MathiasPW » Sat Apr 9, 2016 9:05 pm

It wasn't just a game,
Something made the fan sick
He couldn't point out a name
In the day we lost the 3rd pick

The good news is the Pelicans won their last game, so maybe they have confidence. The bad news is, the Pelicans won their last game, and only one behind in the win column of the Kings, and I'm sure they don't want to screw up and drop into a tie in the lotto order. What team would do that?

In short, I trust they will place bigger emphasis on losing this game than us. I'm glad I accepted the fact that we would probably finish 4th worst weeks ago. It sucks though I got this tease down the stretch that we would possibly hang onto third worst.

In short, an unwatchable game tonight between two teams that desperately want to lose.

These are the games where I wish we had Knight taking 15-20 long 2s. Instead, we have vets who play more within their abilities and fight it out to the end like Tucker and Price..and sometimes Chandler...and then Telly given the green light to launch 3s. I still can't, for the life of me, understand why we are playing all these guys over younger guys like Archie, Jenkins, Alan Williams and Budinger. I want those four in with Booker for 48 minutes straight. If Booker can score 60 and we win, I'll deal with it. But if Tucker and Chandler go for double doubles, while Price and Telly hit a combined 10 3s, I simply will continue not to understand.

I hate to be such a Debbie downer, but this is some typical Suns fashion that we are closing out the season.

Pels don't even have Holiday or Evans, this game isn't indicative of anything.

Just makes me sick in my stomach to know that we went through one of the worst seasons in our history just to possibly end up with the 5th pick.

5th pick will be most probably, provided we finish 4th worst, but it could even be worse than that (6th or 7th). But depending on how much you like Bender the difference between drafting 3rd or 4th and 7th isn't likely all that great.

Of course the biggest issue is the drop in odds of jumping, but we still would have relatively good odds. Many teams lower than 4th have made the jump.

We'll be 3rd-5th worst next year too so get cozy. We'll have another shot at the top pick again.

A healthy Bledsoe is just good enough to get us a 10th seed/late lotto pick
