Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
goddamn it. needed to move the fastballs higher to move the hitters eyes up past the strike zone, then should have come down with a breaking ball in the downward. it was a 88 mph fastball with no movement right down the middle. come on.
ehhhhh f it.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
too late... that high fastball should ahve gone to Posey's head on the first or the second pitch. Scott has been throwing on the bottom half of the plate with not so good inside-outside spread. easy to focus on a smaller part of the plate with series of pitches like that.
ehhhhh f it.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
we score runs here, I am pulling Kazmir. we have R-R-R coming up next and the last thing I want is trying to save the pen before a dayoff, and let a lefty starter who got hit hard and seems to not have the stuff today to try to get 3 more outs just because he is a starter and this is the top of the 5th.
ehhhhh f it.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
guess Im just talking to myself but a good call by Dave keeping the pen ready.
loved that Joc didn't swing at the first pitch too. after swinging at the first pitch changeup the last at bat, Posey was gonna test him for sure.

Dodgers on the Day's Happenings
I'm splitting my attention between the Clippers and Dodgers games, but want to catch up on some items. Puig's approach and success at the plate has been quite encouraging while the Dodgers just dealt for minor-league depth after placing both Andre Ethier and Josh Ravin on the DL.
I know Kazmir was struggling and Trayce Thompson has 2 hits today, but it bugs me that for a guy who is known for his athleticism and defense, Trayce has looked off in the outfield. His misjudgment of a fly ball in the 1st inning would have allowed Kazmir to get out of the 1st inning unscathed instead of giving up the 2 runs. It's the 2nd time I've seen him misread a fly ball in the outfield this young season.

I am not sure if he can get ANY lefties out, but I still think he got robbed on that Belt's at bat. two pitches I thought were strikes were called balls.
