Yeah, they'll finish 3rd this season, given that they're the team with that inevitable run out of those teams competing for those spots.

We'll start of the next weekend with that away game at Hannover.
Would be a good thing to win there and add some pressure on those other teams.
If not, we should start to pray and hope that Wolfsburg keeps on being terrible on the road while Bremen doesn't go nuts to won't win the cup, cause 7th place would be the best we could hope for.

How's Kramaric doing at Hoffenheim?
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

I don't watch a lot of Hoffenheim games, but he's been very good for them in the games I've seen. Fits their new style of play perfectly.

i guess this was a given. if dortmund really wanted to push it, tuchel wouldnt have sat all half of the first team. I mean auba, reus, ilkay, miki, gonzo and piszczek all rested to start the game. and this is the derby we're talking about. the focus will be on the europa league and of course the cup. there was not really a chance for the championship left and dortmund has that 2nd place secured. no need to play your best players with liverpool next thursday.
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

We should be, but we have the third most points in the league. Does anything else matter?

No disrespect, but you are the worst German team ever in the CL. I dont remember a team as bad as this Hertha team representing the Bundesrepublik in the CL. Not something I would be proud of.

Ilkay Gündogan to ManCity according to Sky. Sad to see Bundesliga losing its best players to England again.

Best player in the league(De Bruyne) last year and now this year the best midfielder in the league as well.

Dortmund losing their best player for the 3rd summer out of the last 4. Yes, I think he is better than Reus and Aubameyang. And Aubameyang will probably leave soon.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

He's replaceable. And with Sahin and especially Weigl already on their team they don't even need to buy a new player.

There aren't many players that can replace Ilkay if they sell him, and neither Sahin nor Weigl are on that list. Though having them sitting at the 6 does give them more wiggle room in replacing him; Oliver Torres for example.

While I've always thought Ilkay's been underrated and very important to our success, he's not better than Aubameyang or Reus. Losing him is a definite blow, however.

I get that, and that's fine, but you could give Hertha some credit. Did you expect them to be at 49 points right now? Even at the end of the season?

It's surprising, but it's not even close to what Leicester are doing. The Bundesliga is a lottery outside of Bayern and BvB. That's why I think it is possible that HSV will be back in the CL soon despite what Foye says.

If you lose on Thursday you'll end up trophyless this season. You aint winning the cup. You never beat Guardiola when it counts.

That would literally be the worst German CL team ever then.

Neither of them can replace Gündogan as they're different players.
Weigel's a nice DM but isn't even close in the passing game, even though he's gotten better and isn't just passing it a couple meters left and right anymore, and Sahin's not someone you want to rely on as he's always a couple of minutes away from an injury.

Weigl is 20. There's plenty of time left to grow as a player. :dontknow:

So what German Central defenders should Leicester be looking to pick up this off-season? Huth and Morgan have been brilliant but they're no spring chickens. A Huth 2.0 would be nice.

Wrong league to look at when it comes to defenders.

Stefan Bell has been brilliant this season but he's not for sale.

Also Bundesliga defenders seem to do well in EPL, too.

Just this season off the top of my head, Klose has been solid at Norwich, Wimmer was a good Vertonghen stand-in and Kirchhoff has improved a lot at Sunderland since his disastrous debut. I think the playstyle translates pretty well to the PL.
