We may be able to get that Lakers pick back from BC to move their rebuild forward.

LOL. Knight for the pick back! Do it!

It's like getting a refund!

Isn't Knight the "high character" guy that Colangelo loves?

Those 76ers fans :o If my fav team would be absolutely garbage for few years in a row I would had enough (and for most of this time I couldn't even enjoy watching young players developing because they are injured/oversea). I want the Suns to rebuild but what Philly has done is too hardcore for me. Yet those fans act like Hinkie is a genius and was one step away from building a dynasty.
Booker, Len, Warren and Bogdanovic > Noel, Okafor, Embiid and Saric
For that epic tankathlon their reward is disappointing. Unless Embiid gets healthy finally and live up to his potential Hinkie's experiment is fail.

Celtic fans celebrating the Suns win: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1433095&start=600#start_here

I really hope that on top of all the moves gone wrong lately, the Suns don't suddenly go on a win streak and botch their ping pong balls number and give the Celtics a better chance(courtesy of owning the Nets pick - who won't win another game).

Before this round the Suns have never really had to bottom out though. From 88-01 they never missed the playoffs, and then during one losing season at 36-46, they realize they need to capitalize on vets and trade them to a team in the playoff hunt, and trade Delk and Rogers for Joe Johnson, then they pick Amare at #9 in the draft. Suddenly they are back in the playoffs, even winning two games against the Spurs (who went on to win it all), on epic finishes by Amare and Marbury. They missed again the next year, and of course decided to give up Marbury for cap space and go all out on Nash, with another fairly high draft pick coming. Now they should have used that draft pick, which was a mistake, but the following two years they go to the WCF twice.

Then of course Colangelo was shown the door, and we start the spiral. In comes Kerr to right the ship, but after another WCF appearance, again, what a perfect time for change, lets get rid of Kerr. What's he worth? Sarver can do it with the help of an agent who wants to work in a front office and an assistant GM who's prior team only had any success for one reason, and it likely had nothing to do with him.

Not all of Philly feels like those fans do. Here is an excerpt from a column in the Philadelphia Inquirer...
image: http://media.philly.com/binary/badge_daily-news.svg

by Marcus Hayes, DAILY NEWS COLUMNIST @inkstainedretch
THERE IS NO knife in his back. No bullet flew through the window.

Subtract the intellect and the analytics and the disturbing manifesto and it distills to this:

Sam Hinkie quit.

Considering the circumstances, quitting was the most cowardly move of all.

Considering the man, that's simply too bad.

Hinkie compiled the worst roster in NBA history, mismanaged crisis situations and alienated everyone: his peers, the fans and the press. He raised a small army of supporters in his three seasons as general manager, but even their zeal waned as "The Process" slowed to a halt. The Sixers were a one-win disaster when owner Josh Harris hired Jerry Colangelo in December to oversee Hinkie. They were a 10-win mess when Hinkie resigned Wednesday.

Read more at http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/sixers/20160408_Sam_Hinkie_quit_on_Sixers.html#5KqV7IrIg3iTHDWz.99

That writer also points out how arrogant Hinkie is and assumes Hinkie leaked the letter as a hopeful way in impressing other on all his "accomplishments" in hopes for another job.

I seriously doubt he will get another job as a GM in the NBA.

NBA star Nerlens Noel puts the guys from "Project X" to shame -- DESTROYING the home he was renting last year with Gatorade stains, drugs and toilet damage ... this according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports.
The 21-year-old Philadelphia 76ers star rented a 4,800 square foot home outside of Philly back in September 2014 -- paying $54,000 for a 1 year lease. But he not only trashed the place and left weed throughout the home ... he also allegedly threatened the owners after he moved out.

In their lawsuit, the owners of the home list all of the crazy damage they found including after Noel moved out in August 2015:

-- "Splashed neon colored sports drinks (such as Gatorade) on the carpets throughout the home."
-- $30,000 in other damage to carpets
-- Extreme water damage throughout the home
-- Clogged toilets filled with cotton balls and feces
(In fact, the owners say the plumber who fixed the toilet told them the damage was so bad he told them, "Someone must not like you.")
-- Broken elevator (it's a baller house)
-- $4,000 in damage to the stove
-- damage to the fridge
-- damage to the blinds
-- damage to dishwasher
-- torn window screens
The owners say they also found weed and roaches from joints in the home -- including pieces of marijuana in the master bathroom drawers.
Now here's the scary part ...
The owners say they demanded $42,000 to repair the damage ... but the DAY AFTER they sent the demand, a TOMBSTONE with the words "RIP" mysteriously appeared on the front steps of the property. The owners believe it was Noel's doing and are considering it a death threat.

They're now suing Noel for all sorts of reasons -- including assault (because they believe harm is imminent) and want more than $75,000 for their troubles.

As for Noel, so far no comment from his camp -- but according to the suit, he's demanded his security deposit back.

Does anybody know why the Nets shut down Lopez and Young? It makes absolutely no sense. They do not even own their own draft pick. Why would they seemingly intentionally tank games when the pick belongs to the Celtics. I do not understand. It is sad that they just gave up on the season completely.

Be funny if they lost to Memphis at home to end up tying the record. And of course they could get the record and not win it all, and then they become like the Pats 18-0 joke.

I'm intrigued with the east first round matchups. That Boston/Miami series could be interesting, if they end up meeting, but it looks like they will. But HCA still undecided and they play in the last game of regular season. Cleveland/Detroit play in last game of season and could meet up too. I think all of those series could be interesting.

If they get the 1st or 2nd pick and land the 4th or 5th from the Lakers they could potentially add Simmons/Ingram and Murry or Bender.

Add in Saric and their core does start to look decent

Murry/
SG
Ingram
Okafor/Saric
Noel/Embiid

Sure they have some logjams to take care of depending on if Saric comes over and if Embiid finally plays, but add in a few trades and a big free agent signing and they are back in the playoff hunt.

There youngster lineup doesn't have nearly the potential of Minnesota right now, but it is comparable to ours.

The NBA is a crazy league. The 2013-14 Suns won 48 games and missed the playoffs entirely. This year, that same record would be good for finishing the season as the fifth seed in the West.

I can't believe 4 teams in the east finished 48-34 in the east. It looks based on espn standings that Miami is the 3 seed playing Charlotte and Atlanta is the 4 seed playing Boston. They were probably all hoping to avoid Cleveland in the 2nd round.

Assuming Miami beats Charlotte, their series against Toronto (provided they can take care of Indiana) should be interesting. Who do you think has a better chance of beating Cleveland? Miami or Toronto?

The Warriors make history.

Kobe scores 60 in his final game.

Towns will be the easy choice for rookie of the year

Curry is the unquestionable MVP

And we are over here like...Heeeeeeey! 4th pick bitches! FML.
