Re: Backup pf and pg
I'd love it if we got Beverly! Would gives another quality player at an extremely important position
RJ/Bev
KCP/SJ/Hilly/Bull/Bev
Mook/SJ/Bull/Harris
Harris/Mook
Dre/Baynes
Still leaves a hole at the 4 spot but maybe Meeks, Dimwitted & our pick could bring back something we could use?

Id do Meeks, Dinwiddie, our 1st rounder for Beverly and Beasley

Really? Stan Van Gundy has found some pretty good moves and pretty much pulled them out of hat. They are still blending in, but most of his moves have been pretty much to establish a young starting core. I think this will be the year the bench gets some attention. DJs putting up decent numbers in Denver and this will be one of those years a lot of players with just a pulse will get paid. Pistons bringing back Dj and Illy just seems lazy.

Re: Backup pf and pg
We got a starting 5 plus Stanley and BAines. I'm trading our first to San Antonio for KYle Anderson, he can play three frontcourt spots, he can defend, pass, rebound and shoot at least good enough. He's under 23, and has been getting steady minutes on a top 5 team behind. A slew of good vets. He's ready to rise, and could be had for a middle first rd pick or Bullock . We could resign tolliver and Blake to keep all the depth. Then use all the leftover money and Meeks to pry either JAmal Crawford, or Jeremy Lin. We hold dimwiddie for one more year. Roster spots will never be this cheap again, and he still good enough at that price for the 15th spot.
four pg' s Jackson, (crawford/lin/augestine),Blake, and dimmwiddie
Sg.- kcp, bullocks, Hilliard
Sf.- Morris, S Johnson
Pf- harris, k Anderson, a tolliver
C- DRummond, BAines, anthony

Re: Backup pf and pg
Considering the needs and salaries, I still think Dellavedova is the likelier backup PG to play for Detroit next year. The fact that he's australian is a huge factor for us.

Delladova/Lin would be good pickups, even DJ Augustine I wouldn't mind, then two developmental picks. What about GP III, supposedly he's a good defender like his Dad, is 19th too high for him?

MCW

I bet you if we sign him, some posters here go to the Palace with an AK-47 and kill him.

Re: Backup pf and pg
I don't think Beverly is a good fit for us. We need a ball-handler that can direct the second unit.
Beverly is a false PG, good defender and shooter but not a playmaker. He looks good with a playmaker next to him but I don't see Stanley, Hilliard, Meeks or Bullock running the team.
Same explanation works for Dellavedova.

MCW is fine as a backup. We watched Steve Blake most of the season at least MCW can defend. Plus SVG works wonders for PGs.
