I hate seeing the same mediocre coaches being cycled around the league. I mean, Scott Skiles in Orlando... Gentry in N.O. .. George Karl in Sac...

Maybe it will start with a small patch but my guess is that there will be several at some point. Problem is none of this will stop the game from being 3 hours long.

Only a matter of time before its "The Boston celtics, brought to you by miller lite!"

Riiiiight. Wanna put a cheesy ad on the jersey fine, but then cut out the mtv timeouts to stop game play & give ppl a 3 minute break each time.

No give & take in the AD world. & Really --- IMO they work good & bad. I see an ad 20x's that I don't like I hold a grudge lol.

But I hope Bosh is good man. I used to HATEEE Bosh. Really grew on me though. Took the biggest sacrifice in Miami & been the most solid player for them up until this crazy scare. He's a little corny, but seems like an awesome person.

I think the only 1 of our big 3 that would do what Bosh did (in his prime) is Garnett. Incredibly unselfish to win. I hated it back then, but I do respect it now. Hope he gets better soon & returns for the playoffs (just not playing against us of course).

George Karl has been waiting for this day for awhile. I hope he's got a flight booked to Hawaii already.

After the team returns from its final road trip of the season, the Sacramento Kings are planning to announce the dismissal of coach George Karl on Thursday, league sources told The Vertical.

I thought this was a good read:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15193525/kobe-bryant-personal-mount-rushmore-mentors-starting-michael-jackson

Then Russell drops a gem about Wilt Chamberlain, his rival and longtime friend. There were times, Russell says, when he'd let Wilt score. "Bill didn't want to activate Wilt," Kobe says. "He felt if he defended Wilt too well, then Wilt would take that as a challenge. And if he did, Wilt was going to demolish Bill because he was so physically big and strong. So Bill felt if he could appease Wilt, let him score once in a while, then Wilt would remain satisfied and Bill could keep him at bay."

Bryant tucks it into his memory bank. "I'm thinking, 'That's Art of War s---. I'm going to try that.'"

Bryant refuses to name players he used the strategy against. But former teammates and coaches have no such compunction, naming Tracy McGrady and, later, a young LeBron James as players Kobe rope-a-doped. When asked to confirm the names, Kobe laughs. "I will neither confirm or deny," he says.

Didn't even realize it was written by Jackie Mac.

I think it's overall better. There are more very good coaches now so you notice how bad the others are. 10-15 years ago there were really few top tactical coaches 2/3 of the league ran garbage.

**** Kobe and that poorly written article. So many cliche mistakes. Jackie has really fallen off. "Drops a gem"? "His rival and longtime friend"? "Scoffed at the aloof teenager"?

Time to read The Elements of Style again, Jackie.

I don't think I will ever understand the media's and general NBA fan's obsession with Kobe.

If the ad thing actually comes to fruition, I'm going to just save myself some money and get a mitchell and ness Bird Celtics jersey for like 200 bucks or however much it costs. i was going to get an IT all star jersey, but i can't in good faith pay money to be a walking billboard for Kia.

Sucks that i'll never be able to buy a Durant jersey though. Guess I'll have to wait until he gets inducted in the HOF as a celtic legend.

Tough choice tonight...Do I watch the Warriors break the Bulls record or do I watch Kobe make an embarrassment of himself as he bricks 35 shots trying to score 30 in his last game?

It looks like Curry may be able to hit 400 3's after all since he is 6 for 8 so far and the first quarter isn't even over. He needs 2 more.

Thanks to Shaq and Gasol/Odom/Artest/Bynum.

And that 5th one thanks to the refs. And Sacramento Kings fans may feel it should be one less as well
