Tonight can be BIG if the Nets win against Washington. It is not gonna happen...but we can dream until the game.☺

Wall is probably out the rest of the season and Beam left early yesterday too. There's a good chance they're both sat the rest of the year to not risk further injury.

Both teams coming off a back to back. Maybe Washington will be morally defeated now that they are 110% eliminated from the playoffs.

Sorry guys Brooklyn is trying to get a higher pick for Boston. I think it is pretty obvious at this point with that lineup.

Brooklyn's entire starting lineup is made up of players most casual NBA fans have never heard of. You would think they are getting paid millions of dollars by the Celtics to tank or something. I would say the league needs to do something about a team obviously tanking but since they do not even own their own pick, what they are doing goes against any rational thought possible.

Heck, even knowledgeable fans don't know who they are.

Re: Tank Fest Update Around the League
That Houston victory really stings. If we had lost, we would be tied with Brooklyn for 3 and Washington would be 12th.
Now Houston and Washington have identical records and Brooklyn is a game ahead of us.
The Houston game pushed us from 3 and 12 to 4 and 13. That could be HUGE.
Of course we could still possibly tie Brooklyn if we lose to the Clippers and Brooklyn takes down Toronto. The Raptors have nothing left to play for at this point as they are going to finish 2nd no matter what happens. They also will be coming off of a back to back. It's possibly they could rest their guys.
Of course the Clippers are in an identical situation with us. The Clippers will finish 4th no matter what happens. They could rest their guys and Mirza could go off for 30 giving us one more pointless victory.
Best Case scenario:
Tied for Brooklyn @ 3rd
12th pick from Washington
Worst Case scenario
We finish 4th
Washington, Houston, and Chicago all finish 41-41 and we possibly end up with the 14th pick. FML

Re: Tank Fest Update Around the League
Our best hope is:
Toronto played last night.
Their bench played a decent chunk of minutes due to the blowout.
Tonight's game is meaningless.
Tonight's game is IN Brooklyn (who is rested).
I'd have to think the Raps will rest most of their starters.
Hopefully that horrible Nets lineup goes all out to win the final home game for their fans.

And maybe the Nets decide to win the last one at home, just because. Neither team has any motivation to win OR lose. Advantage home team?

Re: Tank Fest Update Around the League
Lmao only the Nets would jump out to a 17 point lead, and then throw it away... All in the first half.

Re: Tank Fest Update Around the League
So even if we lose today's game, we're not gonna get that 3rd spot so we might as well get a win
