Utah would easily give the Warriors a tougher series. Houston is a pathetic, punchless team.

Houston has Harden, and we all know how important superstars can be in the playoffs...Utah doesn't have anybody who can take over games against a team as good as the Warriors. I don't see Houston or Utah winning more than one game against Golden State, but I'd rather see a GSW/HOU than GSW/UTA series.

Fair point. My thinking here is mostly that we still fall into the trap of thinking Houston is going to find their second gear like they did last season. It's been long enough that I just don't think they're good enough to make it happen, and I don't think Harden has the stamina currently to play as well as he did last year (and he still put up a couple stinkers including the league record for turnovers last year). And I think the supporting cast is bad enough that Harden can't win a game by himself- Howard was phenomenal last year which gets undersold. Utah is just a better team to me on balance, and their size is something the Warriors tend to struggle against. I could also see HOU losing the first two road games and just flat giving up, whereas Utah is young and will fight to the end (like NOP last year).

From an analyst perspective I also think Utah will tell us far more about the Warriors' rank historically. Utah is also just more fun to watch given Houston in the playoffs turn into a free throw parade.

Also, frankly I just don't want to see this Houston team in the playoffs given how little they care about anything. So I'm biased that way.

By this point, I'm pulling for a Warriors-Rockets series as well, but more because Houston would present an easier challenge for GS at this point, as the Rockets play a more wide open, undisciplined and fast paced game, so it is gonna be an even more enjoyable series to be watched rather than against the Jazz, a team which has tools to defend the Warriors well, with agressiveness and size, taking more out of their gas for the next series. The Clippers and the Warriors have to be 100%, I think their series would be absolutely epic.

Curry on possibly winning 73:

We have an opportunity to do something that has never been done before in history. So many great players have suited up since the NBA began, and for us 15 guys to say we’ve accomplished something as a group that’s never been done before, that’s remarkable. So, we earned the right to have a 48-minute game to eclipse that mark and we have to go out and finish the job and do it the right way.

Memphis has something to play for today. With Dallas losing if Memphis wins they get OKC. If they lose they get SAS. I'm sure they prefer OKC.

The 3 pt record for a game is Curry's already it's just a matter of whether he actually wants it. He could probably put up 15 in a game and it wouldn't even be ridiculous

1 away.... I want 400 so badly for him, be a nice round benchmark to put his season in perspective. It's just crazy how much he has thrashed his own previous record. The equivalent would be like a Running Back running for 3,000 yards, or a qb throwing 80 touchdowns.

GSW pacing for team 3PT record as well.

4 more for the record. GS needs 8 more for the team record.
