Should the Titans trade away the #1 pick?

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Wed Feb 24, 2016 3:55 am

Should the Titans trade the #1 to a team who might want to steal Carson Wentz from the Browns?

If they stay in the top five, could they still get Tunsil?

Except in the cases like the Colts getting Luck, I've never been against the idea of trading down. If you are picking first, you need more than one player and you also can't afford to miss. As we know draft picks are crap shoots to some extent and the more picks you amass, the more likely you are to get productive players to fill holes in your roster.

Whatever the Titans do they must protect the guy they drafted last year. OL, WR, and RB are all huge needs for them. Mariotta took a royal beaten last year, so I would expect them to take Tunsil.

If somebody would offer two 1st and a 3rd, or 1st, 2nd, and 5th and the 1st is in the middle of the round, I would do the trade.

Titans use the lower 1st pick to get a guy like Ezekiel Elliott, Laquon Treadwell, Ronnie Stanley, or Noah Spence, and then use the other pick to fill other needs

I would to. And so should the Titans. As a Cowboy fan, I want both Goff and Wentz gone before we pick at #4. I don't want any of these QB's in this year's draft. I want Myles Jack. But dumbass Jerry control his play toy.

The Titans would need an offer they cannot refuse to pass on the OL men.
They must protect their investment and build the OL up.

Thank god someone else is on the same train as me! I don't want Goff or Wentz either! I'm really just not a huge fan of there's and I feel as if the ONLY reason that Wentz is ranked so high on the QB boards is bc of the weak class around him. I want Bosa, Ramsey or Myles I would be happy with any of those three.

As far as the Titans go if they can find someone willing to trade up for that pick then do it. This draft isn't a draft where you NEED to use the #1 pick on a certain guy and the Titans do need a lot of help to protect Mariotta but it goes beyond the OL. RB is a huge need bc Bishop Sankey sucked, they need a go-to WR no one has been dependable catching the ball and they do desperately need D help whether is along the line or secondary. Again if they can find someone then trade but i don't think anyone will be willing to do it. So pick safe and take your LT for hopefully the next 7-10 years.

To be brutally honest with you, I want the Cowboys to go all out on defense. I've been screaming for 4 years for them to address the defense. I want Buckner, Myles Jack or Andrew Billings with our first pick.

I agree with you guys about Dallas.
I'd also like them to focus more on defense.
Bosa is who I hope they put themselves into position to draft.

I knew it, the Titans just traded the 1st overall pick. Its just a bad cliche when people say you can't pass up an elite LT to protect your QB. Just look at Pats, Broncos, and other super bowl winners and they build their line with late round picks.

I thought the Titans made out like bandits with this deal. Of course that will still depend on what they do with all these picks. All of which are in the top 85.

If you're the Titans how do you not at least acquire two future first round picks? Good trade, but could have been better.

well they got a first this year, 2 2nds this year, a first and a third next year,

the 2 seconds this year would almost be worth a future first i would have to think

The Titans selecting Conklin over Tunsil, shows why the Titans will be drafting in the top 3 for the next five years.
