Each team flips a coin. The odd one out is removed and the other two teams flip again.

What pick does the one removed get?

its not coins, its ping pongs balls.

Get two decent PF prospects added to the pipeline, keep Ross as the SF backup, SG insurance if DD bolts. And we would be set for another great regular season.

Hopefully with a season of seasoning, one of the two PFs stands out enough that they could be our starter the following season, so we wouldn't have to pay the big bux to keep 2Pat.

I agree with you about Brice Johnson. He's the guy I want with our pick as well.

We still have to find roster spots for these guys. I could see Masai consolidating some picks to move up this year or next year.

Do you anticipate Demar and Bismack to be back, or will our 2 draft picks replace Bis as our defensive bigs?

I think it will be DD or Biz coming back. Not both. Probably DD, but damn, from a pure future of the team point of view, I'd lean towards bringing Biz back at $10M and keeping Ross and Norm as the SGs.

Bebe and (Davis?) would not be too much of a drop off if we lose Biz and keep DD though.

Personally, I'll leave it up to Masai. Whichever way he thinks is best overall will probably be the correct way to go.

And now that Powell and Ross are both stepping up their games, Masai might even have enough leverage to get DD for closer to $20M/yr. Still well above the $17M Butler and Klay will be making next season, but well below the $25M full mid-max. Of course, this is assuming DD would stay to play here for a bit of a team discount. Some team WILL still offer DD the max this summer guaranteed. I don't know if that would free up enough space to give Biz what he is worth though. It would be great if we could keep the whole core intact and just add two draft picks. Maybe lose JJ and Scola and add a couple of Rabb/Davis/Luwawu with the Nuggets pick and Brice Johnson/Benj Bentil/Cordinier with our own pick.

Trade our picks for 2 picks next year + rights to swap and then next year we can have like 4 top 15 picks :D

Don't know why they kept him so high (maybe stats?), but the reason why this board hates him is that he's a big white guy who's unathletic and can't really play defense, from what I understand.

Kinda strange how these types of comments are accepted. I know it's pointing towards stereotypes, but still......

Dirk is a big white guy.
The Gasol Brothers are big white guys.
Kevin Love is a big white guy.

Never really understood why skin colour plays a role in who's a good basketball prospect & who isn't. Maybe it's the curse of Bargnani?

I'd say Ellenson is pretty mobile for a guy his size. He's not much of a leaper, but neither are any of the players that I listed above.

He's probably not on my top 5 list, but if Masai drafts him, I wouldn't be upset. In some ways he's a good fit here.

I think Masai is a good evaluator of work ethic & drive. Those two things are basically what made Dirk & Derozan star players in this league.

Hey, I didn't say that I hate him or anything. I am just giving an observation. Whenever there's a big white guy who's not too athletic, this board hates him. I mean there are still people here that are calling Jonas soft for whatever reason, when he's pretty much the opposite of that...

I'm getting a headache just trying to figure out the logic of this post.

I'm saying Love is an established talent and it's not the end of the world if he's overpaid. And having him as a bad contract is better than filling up the cap with mediocre role players, which was the case last summer.

1. Love is the definition of mediocre

2. Those so-called role players are the reason why were a 56W team (and who knows what we would have been with Carroll).

3. Love is going to be making 22+M/yr ($25M highest year).

Examples of guys making UNDER $20M/yr (ranging as low as $11M but mainly around $16M)

Iggy
Draymond
Kawhi
Butler
George
Cousins

..but yeah you're right wouldn't want to waste cap space on mediocre players like that. Clogging up cap on hot garbage like Kevin Love is a much better idea.

They are doing the Hawks/Hornets/Heat/Celtics right now, had to sort all of those identical records out.

Pistons/Blazers next.
