Best case is for both NY and DEN picks to move up via the lottery, ideally into the top 5, at least.

Yes, something like a 7% chance we move up to top 3, but also something like a 12% chance we fall back.

Not that it should matter much. 8-14 is a tier with a bunch of very equal players. 3 equal good ones, 4 equal on potential.

They can only move into the top 3. It can't be 4 or 5

Now all we need is Murray to get caught with a hooker and he'll fall to us at 9. We Canadians are a forgiving people.

Lucky #9 for us. Not bad.

These guys should have taken care of business during the regular season & they would have had 8th.

Good, that team is trash. Shouldnt even have been in the coin toss.

This is alot better than what most people thought. I remember a thread in October where people thought we would get a #14 or #15 pick thinking the Knicks would be decent this year. LOL, this is the Knicks we're talking about.

Drafted bargnani number 1 in 2006 and 10 yrs later get the 2016 9th pick for him and he's noteven in the league anymore. No freaking complaints here, that's amazing value.

So, pending the lottery we could theoretically pick 2, 3, 7, or 9. Is that right? With 2 and 3 being extremely unlikely, 7 somewhat possible but still a longshot, and 9 being most likely of all?

#9 Picks:

Drummond
Hayward
Kemba
DeRozan
Iggy
Noah
Amare
Nowitizki
McGrady
Marion
Oakley

So there's good talent to be had...nevermind guys like Klay, Kawhi, George were all drafted after that in drafts thought to be in even worse drafts.

These numbers are the ones that bother me because it seems like every draft at least one team cracks the top 3 that shouldn't have been there.
