16 and 23 is pretty good I can't complain about that. Brooklyn did awesome for us we just need luck. 16th pick and Crowder for Rondo that's great. Sucks just a little that we almost got 12th but is what it is. Cant wait for the lottery now!!!

We also got the 35th pick (via Minnesota from Wright-to-Phoenix trade). What happens to the Dallas 2nd rounder? Is there are coin flip for that too (not that I particularly care where it falls)?

Also Philly pick 31 is ours from the Crawford-> GS trade (we acquired Crawford for Barbosa who was out for the season).

Is this the correct final numbers until the lotto?

Worst part about being in the lottery is waiting for the actual freaking lottery.

Discussions are almost useless now as the order almost never stays the same...

Gotta love Atlanta having home court advantage and a higher draft pick...

Believe the Dallas second is the worse of the two positions, since they won the first round flip the second round is in reverse order.

Edit - actually not exactly sure since the C's get the better of DAL/MEM, but also the second round goes by straight record rather than playoff vs lotto seeding.

According to Tankathon, we get better of DAL/MEM 2nds, which is MEM. Cool to win same coin flip in both rounds.

But NBA rected Celtics with playoff seeding and ATL/CHA/BOS/MIA coin flip, Boston getting 2nd worst possible positions in both options.

16 and 23 is probably good enough to trade up to at least 10. Really happy with how the draft picks have turned out for us this year. If we can just sneak into the top 2 in the lottery we will be in place to make such big time splashes on draft day.

16 + Crowder is mediocre return for Rondo, and I love Jae. But Ainge is a genius I guess

He was expiring and returning from Injury. It was either get that or pay him more than we should have...

Probably not a mediocre return for the Rondo we actually traded. Especially with how it ended for the receiving team. Rajon a bit of an upswing this year but guess what? Dudes right back in the lottery with a big more talented than anything we have and a decent amount of depth. The west was unusually weak this year, too.

We waited too long to trade him. We got more than fair value for what he was worth at the time.

Congrats on the draft pick haul your team has. I'm so curious to see how the Celtcs team will improve upon its already stacked team.

Yeah, go tell Marc Cuban that we got a mediocre return for Rondo. That trade was an absolute disaster for Dallas and Rondo for that matter. Rondo was in a contract year and he got benched. We also got the Minny seconds this year and next year as well, and an early second rounder is always a good thing to have.

The Mavs would murder to have the haul back in exchange for Rondo in hindsight. Great return for Rondo...

I love Rondo. Best Celtics PG in my lifetime. Still, that trade was great for the Celts. I'd take Crowder alone over Rondo for this team right now.
