Low IQ? He's probably got one of the highest IQ in the league. Don't be a casual and make silly posts because your feelings are hurt from this loss. Wait for the series to play out.

It's becoming a trend. Injuries are no excuse since pretty much every starter in the playoffs are dealing with some form of nagging injuries. Sh*t, even Paul George has been playing on a gimpy ankle for a few weeks now!

This is what Lowry is supposed to look like. I don't know what he was doing today. He was hesitant, passive, never took hold of the moment. The game was sitting right there for anyone and Lowry didn't go near it.

Toronto has the biggest clown fan base in the league. All it takes is one game for better or worse and people completely lose their s***. One day Lowry is an MVP player, the next day he's a choke artist. This forum, just wow.

Those numbers are ugly. Injured? I don't know... Elbow issues? Maybe... What I do know is that if he can't make a shot 4 feet and out, the Raps are done. He was getting decent looks and missing. DD wasn't even getting decent looks. That's a serous issue. George shut DeRozen down and managed to score at will in the second half. That's trouble.

Thank you for bringing up this game brah.

Did ANYONE see any of this shooting?

NO.

NOT AT ALL.

Like watch the highlights and assess yourself if Lowry did any of the moves with his shooting he did today.

People forget Lowrys first year...

First 5 games here he was bonkers then hurt his ankle in OKC came back and was garbage and was out played by
Jose Calderon for most of the year until he was traded.

When Lowry is great he is amazing but he always falls off a cliff and gets in a horrible slump where he can't get out of it

Our best players are big time chokers.

It's obvious now.

Time to rebuild.

4-9 FT? no one chokes that hard.

Sure they have, he's done it the last two years in the playoffs, same with DeChoke, one of the worst all-stars in NBA history. He made his career off beating down teams like the Sixers and Knicks.

His shooting has been way off since that elbow injury, so I really don't know what to say. Was it a choke or injury related? I need to see game 2 to come to a conclusion.

Either he's injured or he's paid to lose. He's been ramping down his play for a while so as not to suck suspiciously. Same as last year.

His playoff approach reflects a poor bball IQ. Heart and effort can't always overcome execution.

Maybe he just choked.
But lets say you're right. So we're talking about a 29-30 yo player who last year had a back injury and this year had an elbow injury; this is not to mention a significant injury when he was traded here.
If we lose this series, do you still keep him around?

Show us a highlight video where he done this in playoffs. Playoffs cannot be compared to regular season games.

I love this team. I really do and I'm clearly butt hurt because of this loss but this is the dumbest excuse.

If he was actually hurt why isnt he facilitating more. He should be focusing on getting the ball to the right people. Not attempting transition 3s. If he's hurt don't play. Joseph is playing with a banged up nose and it didn't stop him from crashing the glass and making layups.

Again I'm butt hurt but man. At some point these guys just need to play and make shots.

A 6' PG is not going to carry your team through the playoffs unless his name is Allen Iverson

Double Helix wrote:Lowry never admits when he's hurt. His FT shooting is indicative of a still serious shooting issue.

The bigger issue is the Pacers have created "rules" for how to handle pick and rolls depending on who is involved.

If Lowry is involved they hedge to dissuade the 3. If Derozan is involved they pack the pain to encourage the long 2 or pass. It's the perfect defensive strategy for these 2 and it looks like the pacers might be experienced enough defensively to execute such a specialized playoff-centric strategy.

A coach who came prepared. He called the refs out before the series (Casey silent) and had a gamplean to stop our top 2 players.

Those touch fouls and phantom calls on JV were all Vogel. Casey is playing catch up once again.
