Finally got to cross going out to LA and seeing Kobe playing at Staples off my bucket list. The atmosphere at the game was insane

I bought the tickets in September anticipating his retirement so I was able to get them for a great price. The moment he announced his retirement tickets in my section skyrocketed 8 times the value I bought them for before fees on Stubhub. I did have to fly out and get a hotel but it was well worth it because there were so many things to do out in LA.

Its my fourth time watching the replay of this game. Too many emotions for me. I grew up watching Kobe. Its like the end of my childhood/teenager/early 20s days as well. I would take what Mitch said that this game has more impact than any other Game 7s. I just can't move on especially in the fourth canto when we saw "vintage Kobe" one last time.

I like the part when Kobe hit the game winning shot and the young lings (Randle-Clarkson-Russell) went to Kobe and hugged them. Like he was saying "My time has come and its your turn to bring glory to this franchise."

Time for a new chapter.

Just wanted to comment on this game thread before it moves down the pages. It was the perfect ending to an amazing career.

I went to a sports bar to watch the game with a couple friends, but they had to leave around half time so I just hung out there by myself the rest of the game. It definitely was a pretty emotional thing for me. I've been watching Kobe since I was 8, and in a couple months I'll be turning 29. From when I first learned to dribble up until I graduated high-school, basketball was pretty much all I really cared about and Kobe was obviously a big influence in that.

I was in the exact same sports bar when I watched his game winner over the Suns in the playoffs almost 10 years ago.
