Maeda's Scoreless Innings Streak Ended

Post#501 » by Ranma » Mon Apr 18, 2016 12:56 am

That was a mistake pitch on Maeda's part. Oh, well. We can't expect him to pitching shutout innings all the time. Corey showed off a nice strong throw to end the inning.

A Bit of the Home Body

I don't get out much, actually. :) The funny thing is that I went to AT & T Park in San Francisco last year and Petco Park in San Diego shortly before that. Both times were trips with my friend who is a Giants fan.

both parks by the water are very nice, but the security just outside the park in case of SF and within for SD, could be better.

Wow. I try to get back at least once a year Ranma and I definitely catch them when they come to Miller or Wrigley.

And I've done Petco and AT&T as well.
Unfortunately, at AT&T, we clinched the WC, and a bunch of Giants fan were upset and made it physical.
Had to run for my life because the police came.

Grandal is such a good framer.

He can't make em all look like strikes but he'll definitely steal you some....
and I'm talking about based on how the ump is calling the game, not just the box on the ESPN screen.

Geez. Sorry you had to go through that, Quake. People take this crap too seriously. It's just a game for Pete's sake and we're not even playing it. My friend doesn't want to go to Dodger Stadium and risk his kids because of security concerns and the crowd element.

When I was at AT & T Park, there were cops visible outside of the stadium even beyond the entrance gates. Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing a police presence when I was at Petco.

Anybody know why Corey was running on a 2-2 count?

What Was That?!

Post#510 » by Ranma » Mon Apr 18, 2016 1:21 am

Yikes! I'm all for aggressive base-running, but I don't see how and why Seager should have run there, especially given how badly he was beat to the bag by the throw and the subsequent walk on the next pitch.

thanks for the info and Jeez, maybe the kid was either A) miss counted it to be 3 balls already? or B) underestimated Posey's throwing arm. either way its a rookie mistake.

Seager's Attempted Theft

Corey tried to steal 2B on a 2-2 count with nobody out and was thrown out by a mile. Turner walked on the very next pitch.

Joc goes yard with a 2-run shot that puts us up by 1 run!
