Watching the Pacers-Raptors, who would you guys rather play if we get past the first round? 3-1 vs the raptors and 2-2 vs the Pacers. The Raptors in my opinion would be the easier matchup. George could make it tough for Wade and their bigs could make it tough on the team as a whole when it comes to scoring in the paint. We would have home court against the Pacers which is a plus but every game is a grind out game against them and we never win in Indiana.

Heat In 5.
I have a lot of faith that we will hit another gear in the playoffs defensively and offensively.

While obviously the point differential and total was never going to be right, I still think this is exactly what's going to happen.

Deng is terrific, and IMo the Hornets will respect him this time..
Could this be the last season of Deng in Miami? Heat only has arround $38m of cap space

Appreciate him if it is, Chicago basically left him for dead when he had spinal tap complications.

Let's let this Mavs-Thunder game be a lesson to us. Blowout win in game 1 means nothing have to come out focused and ready to dominate again.

This Heat team looked hungry in Game 1. I'm glad.

I agree with you. I'd rather play the raptors as well. Hopefully we can beat the hornets in 5 so we can rest. I could see Pacers-Raptors going 7 so whoever we'd play would be tired.

I'd take either one but I would prefer Pacers. We'd only have two guys to worry about on offense and would be getting the worse defensive team of the two and home court. I'm not sure if Raps are frauds or not but they look like a little more trouble for our thin front court. I'm fine with either one tho

This. Raymond Felton went off tonight, so naturally Kaminsky will go off for 40/20.

Sign me up for the Pacers too. Honestly I feel bad when we beat up on the Raptors, but the Pacers are legitimate foes.

I ain't scared of no Pacers. Bring em on! If we can't beat the Pacers then we had no business even talking about the ECF.

Q: I wasn't surprised Hassan Whiteside didn't get Defensive Player of the Year. Yes, he can block shots and rebound. He has the angles but defending an opponent straight up, I don't think he's that good. Al Jefferson was schooling him in Game 1 and that's why Shaquille O'Neal said don't fall for the fake, just wait until he goes up and meet him at the rim. What do you think? -- Carl, Kapaa, Hawaii.

A: First, this notion of Hassan somehow being snubbed is absurd. He finished third, ahead of all centers, which bodes well for getting the notice he seeks when the All-Defensive teams are named. Like Defensive Player of the Year, the All-Defensive teams are voted upon by the media (although not all voters for the two honors are the same). As for Jefferson, don't understate Al as a post scorer. He is one of the best in the league. I still believe Steve Clifford should start Jefferson in a bid to get Whiteside into early foul trouble. That said, except for those two fouls against Al, Whiteside more than held his own in that matchup in Game 1. The concern here is that Hassan allows the Defensive Player vote to impact his play in Game 2 and starts going to block every shot, biting on the very pump fakes that Shaq cited.

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-heat/heat-blog/sfl-miami-heat-ask-ira-hassan-whiteside-s041916-story.html

It will be interesting how Hassan chooses to handle his obvious agitation.

Wade has been overshadowed, overlooked & underrated his whole career......what did he do? Take his Heat to the NBA finals in 06 & took out the Mavs. Then in 09 season came out angry because of the very doubters that drove him to want to prove everybody wrong. He scorched the entire league & won league scoring champ. He should have been league mvp too. Whiteside needs to do the same. Button up his lips & go destroy the league w/ that same motivation derived from that anger that drove Wade. You know what's better than individual accolades? an NBA CHAMPIONSHIP!

Play Bosh in second unit for a good 15 mins we might have the best ORTG bench in the east, if not the entire nba.
