Unrelated but for a significant stretch to start the season Curry had the highest per 100 scoring average in history. What is the playoff record and how likely do you think Steph is to break it?

I picked qualifiers of min 7 GP + min 25 PPG. Since 74 (first season per 100 #s available on bball ref), 09 lebron narrowly defeats 93 jordan:

Jordan with 10 of the top 15... nuts

Per 75 PS Scoring Rate, >20 MPG & at least 3 GP

I just have a preference for per-75 since its a closer representative of starter's minutes in the playoffs, but obviously the rates are all the same.

Jordan vs. the 86 Celtics is tops, but it's just one round and a sweep. James in 09 is the highest for multiple rounds, and his rel. TS% adjusted for opponents was pretty impressive as well at +9.6%. Jordan 93 is the highest for a Finals/Championship run (+2.8% rel. TS).

It'll of course depend on how other teams decide to cover GS - like you said in the OT thread, if they stay home on everyone else, the ceiling for what Curry can produce on the box-score is absurdly high. Might be wise to estimate what pace they'll play at throughout the postseason (SAS was able to slow the game down at home for example). GS ~99 average and Curry playing 37 MPG would be ~75-76 possessions for Curry to work with, so he'd have to be firing >35 points per game to have a chance at the high mark.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Looks like Jordan's career averages bests anyone else's single season high for multiple rounds - aside from James 09 season. Even if you count single round performances - only Olajuwon and Parker show up there. Even taking into account the number of shots he takes, that's pretty amazing considering his efficiency.

Probably best. You saw what happened a few years back when Beverly injured Westbrook and then the Thunder lost the next round.

They don't need Curry anyway to sweep the Rockets, but every game Curry misses is like a spectacle deprived.

They're certainly better off being cautious. I hope that's all it is, though.

Even if the Warriors go down 3-1 without Curry I'd expect them to win if he came back in Game 5 lol

138.4 at the half, but they've let Houston put up 121.6.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but John Thompson should be ashamed of his son.
