34, those were like the absolute worst retorts this thread has seen. Your music's bad and you should feel bad.

JJ Hardy second to last?
I am not saying he is a top 3 SS but he is most definitely an above average defensive short stop.

I always think people are trying to use QED when they do this, and I make fun of them in my head for using it wrong, until I realize they are just posting for the sake of their post count or something.
Yes, I need my post count higher!!!! or it's because what BBJ responded to had to do with me....hmmmm tricky

I think most people have Jeter as a Top 5-10 defensive SS because, regardless of his bad range, when the ball is hit to him, he gets the job done.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. He is the best at ranging to his right, and he is the best at going back on pop ups.

Nomar, Arod, Renteria, Tejada, etc.
I won't live in the past, I'll keep living in the now and Jeter hasn't slowed down a bit pal.

When I made that post I wasn't simply referring to the routine plays that every SS gets in a game, I was talking about every play at any time.
Many people (analysts, other players, fans) say that Jeter is in high regard when it comes to putting out the most effort and laying it all on the line when he needs to, when other players (such as Mr. Young from Texas as mentioned before) would give up plays that DJ goes all out on.
I wasn't just talking about the routine defensive plays, but all the plays that Jeter gets the job done on.

But, it was Jeter's team then and it still is now.
Right now Arod, Jeter, and Posada are the only three players there that know how (and have the ability) to play baseball
