Eric Bledsoe's worth

Post#1 » by Damkac » Thu Apr 21, 2016 9:29 am

If Suns would go into full rebuild they may consider trading their 26 years old pg. What is the highest pick in coming draft you would give for him?

He is making 14mln next season, then 14,5mln and 15mln in 2018/19 season.

His value is at an all time low now. Also knights the one I'd be more interested in moving but regardless let's answer the q:

Sac, Det, orl, phi, Uta should be interested.

If I'm Orlando I'd go for a shake up here. Need a 3rd team but payton, pick and Nicholson?

In general a player like Bledsoe is worth a top 10 pick, no doubt about that. But with all those injuries I wouldn´t give up such a high pick - I guess I wouldn´t consider dealing any 1st Rd picks for EBled if there isn´t another asset included like TJ Warren

Considering the injuries, I wouldn't normally give up a lottery pick but considering how bad this years group is I would trade pick 10.

if he didnt have the injury history, i would consider it. But Orlando hasnt had the best luck with injuries, and this is now 2 seasons out of 3 with Phoenix and their excellent doctors, that Bledsoe has missed half a season or more.

Thinking about it more it's a worthy risk for Orlando pending in that pick and it's potential protection. As nice as payton has been if I'm the magic I get a vet pg like a Jose Calderon to steady the ship and be insurance policy for Bledsoe...start him alongside oladipo, mario, gordon and vucevic. Bledsoe off the bench would actually be more impactful and his mpg could be better monitored. Unique situation but your best player can be your 6th man

we need more talent in our starting lineup, not a player that is making big money but having to monitor his minutes. Would rather keep Payton and his development. At worse, we find a very short term better PG, push Payton to the bench and hopefully light his fire to gain the starting position back. Payton played for Jacque Vaughn last year who let him do what he wanted and then micro managed by Skiles this year and finally looked to get it at the end of the year. Having another training camp working on his shot should help. Not ready to trade him away yet, but understand we need better play at PG. Sometimes players take a couple of years to get it. Bledsoe was a pretty bad shooter his first 2 years also, and that was learning from Chris Paul. his breakout year was his 3rd year, hoping for that from Payton.

I'd trade the Kings' pick and Ben McLemore for Bledsoe without hesitation.

I'm shocked anyone thinks he's worth less than a top 10 given his upside and contract

its his health issues. Again, no more than half a season 2 out of the last 3 years. And i dont think there is much more upside to him. He is a really good player, but his game relies on athleticism which will start to fade, due to age and injuries.

Normally I would be on board with this, especially with the Bledsoe/Cousins connection but man those injuries are scary.

I'd do Bledsoe/Tucker for 8th/Belinelli but the trade you constructed is a no go for me.

The injuries have all been miniscus related, not ligaments. He has chosen to repair them thus far which equates to 3 months of down time per repair. If it happens again, they will most likely remove the meniscus and the down time is closer to 3 weeks.

There is no greater predictor of future injuries than past injuries, granted. But Bledsoe is less of a risk than he is being painted here on this board.

Gotta take chances he'd be huge for us if he played 70+ games. Also if we kept collision and he wasn't part if the deal they can play together quite we'll.

Also I'd offer 8/Collison/Ben for Bledsoe/Tucker.

I think bringing in another pg to push DC to the bench again will make him not resign after the season. Cash in on him now.
