Transportation from downtown Detroit to The Palace
My girlfriend and I are coming from Toronto for game 3 and staying downtown Detroit. We're having some trouble finding transportation from downtown out to the Palace. We don't want to drive. Any (low cost) ideas? Thanks!

Yeah Detroit doesn't have the best public transportation infrastructure. We never built any to force people to buy cars and appease automakers. I would just drive. Driving around Detroit/Metro Detroit is easy. Very little traffic because our road system was designed hold a much larger population base.
Otherwise Uber. Their might be a bus that will take you there, but I'm not certain.

We opted to get a hotel in Auburn Hills for Friday and Detroit for Saturday. Thanks for weighing in.
While we're all here, can anyone point me in the direction of some good breweries/brewpubs in Detroit? Any where else worthwhile to hit up? We're going to the Tigers game Saturday afternoon but are pretty open otherwise.

Go to HopCat in midtown (Woodward Ave, 5 mins away from downtown). Try their crack fries, and grab a Soft Parade while you're there. Careful with them Soft Parades though, pretty strong stuff

I'm Scrappt like super CONTRA!

Hopcat is awesome. Atwater Brewery is cool, both the one in the city and Atwater on the Park in Grosse Pointe Park. There isn't jack diddly in Auburn Hills; there's Hoops right down the road from the Palace and the Venue right across the street. Those are good pre-game locations; a better post-game hang out is the Red Ox in Rochester Hills which is 15 mins from the Palace. Lots of microbrew taps there.

Also hit the Detroit Brewing Company before the Tigers game. It's almost across the street from Comerica Park.

I never know where I am going in Detroit and find it so confusing

The downtown, midtown, mexicantown, etc. area near the river is a bit confusing because of how everything is diagonal and the weird wheel spoke thing around campius martius. Almost everything else (including suburban areas) is on a nice mile grid system though.

I asked on twitter and @ThePalace responded that cab or uber is your best bet, confirming what most people here said
