Utley scores on Mallex Smith's misread of Turner's flyball in CF! Turner gets a break with the official scorer ruling it as a double.

Nice try Mallex.

Let's work Kenley.

Might not have needed Kenley if we executed the squeeze properly.

But we need him.
Has a 2 run cushion.
Let's put this one in the bank.

Culberson who to my eye is the better SS, gets the start at 3B while Corey is at SS.

Personally I think the organization is driving too hard at this Seager SS angle. He should be able to move to 3rd on a day like today.

Leaving room for my naked, lying eyes to be wrong about who is the better glove at SS.

Well, it looks like it's going to be a long day for Kershaw.

bases juiced on 3 straight singles in the 2nd.

Utley's defense at 2nd has been amazing fam.

#howielost

Kershaw with the K
Utley with the great snag to get the double play and get out of that.

Hopefully Kershaw settles down. There's plenty of reason to have a crappy start today. But his fastball isnt hitting AJ's target at all and he can't work much off it since he keeps leaving it over the plate and it's getting smacked for singles.

Runners at 1st and 3rd.
Top of the 9th.
2 Outs.

Doc lets Joc bat again when he has Puig to burn.

Obviously he K'd and didnt bring the run in.

Next time that happens and I know (I did today), I'll post a reminder.

Dunno how we got out of there with 2 out of 3 but we did.
On to Colorado.

Cliffs:
- Kershaw was awful and somehow went 8 and gave up 1. Couldn't locate a damn thing. Curve wasn't worth a damn today.
- Hatcher was nails.
- Kenley gave up a 1 out double to Aybar but got the job done by going after Freddie Freeman.
- **** Single and Yasmani double to get the go ahead run.
- Another Doc move I'll haggle with but, like you, not ready to put his feet to the fire.

That pitch Kershaw threw yesterday was hilarious.
Saw it live, and had to rewind and watch it a couple times. It was so slow the speed gun didn't even pick it up
It had to be under 40 mph

USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

great hustle by Chase to stretch that double into a triple, but wasn't needed with Seager's 2 run homerun to the deepest part of the park!

2-0 dodgers and it only took 5 pitches to do it.
ehhhhh f it.

but he did struggle to fight off Story with something like a 15 pitch at bat. he has not been attacking the strike zone and missing the pitches that are supposed to be just below the zone to lure the batter but instead of an inch they are a foot too low. I just don't think Kazmir has his control down yet and his first game performance was more of a fluke than him being himself. it may take some time or maybe never but all I am hoping from him tonight is to get 6 innings out of him with less than total 3 runs a la a quality start. I believe we will get another run in that same span.
