I just had a feeling something like this was going to happen when Benson and Ariel were laughing about how Benson had no idea who Koreshkov was on mmahour Monday.

Was the Askren fight the only fight you saw? Not sure why else you'd think this tbh.

I knew the KOs from years ago. I didn't know he'd fought and beaten (for real, in a legit way?) Lima.

I remember him following guys around probing with his jab holding his right hand pressed to his cheek and throwing spinning kicks to the liver. Seemed underwhelming.

Since Benson's been married, those quads are looking way less jacked. A little less time in the squat rack when an Evangelical gets married, perhaps?

Don't wanna imply I called that, btw. I was picking Benson to win although there was value on Koreshkov. Credit to bern who did call it.

I'm surprised it was that one sided.

And why is Davis fighting King Mo instead of McGeary? Is McGeary hurt?

Koreshkov has come a long way from Ben beating him up while starting a "USA!" chant to the crowd. lolzers.

Time for Benson to make the permanent move to 155. That was an awesome main event though, and it makes you realize it isn't just an easy cake walk for the bigger names in the UFC to jump ship and get a title. I find myself pulling more and more for Bellator these days, I want them to do well. As long as they keep the gimmicky fights to a minimum, I'll be tuning in each time. Also, I've always liked Scott Coker a lot more than Dana, since he's a true fan of the sport.

Its like in the other thread where someone said Conor should move to bellator and beat their whole 145 roster up on the same night with ease. LOL, no, no he really couldn't.

Also, I never let the chance go to waste to bring up the infamous "How long until Keith Jardine is the Strikeforce LHW champion?"

Bellator champ doesn't belong in the ONE Championship cage!

To be fair, he basically went up a weight class also. Brooks would be real interesting, but have to significantly favor Bendo over the rest of Bellator's LWs.

Well he beat Aldo in 13 seconds, so he should be able to clean out Bellator's 26 man FW roster and less than 6 minutes.

Hopefully Brooks goes to the ufc and hopefully this cheers him up so he's a little less emo.

I don't know about that decision. Tough one.

And McGeary looks really big for a LHW.

Cannot believe Mo powered out of that kimura. Also thought Phil could have finished with strikes instead of shooting a takedown when he had King Mo on rubber band legs.

Will the UFC pick up Brooks, or will he be frozen out like Askren?

I find it kind of strange that Coker comes out and says we will not stand in the way of Brooks' free agency. Doesn't that completely destroy his leverage? If they really wanted to do right by him, couldn't they at least act interested? Am I trying too hard to find a negative here?

Nope, Coker is the king of this. He did the same thing to Shields didn't he? The positive for Brooks is that he doesn't have to wait for the matching period to end, so he isn't in limbo at all. Bad news is that obviously he has much less leverage, unless WSOF or someone shows interest. That said, Brooks was just such a malcontent, if Coker didn't have a history of this then it would be hard to blame him for not being interested.

All I think about when I see Phil Davis is that he has to be the worst good fighter ever.
