Dre really 22 though man. His potential is crazy. I only question how much of that potential he'll reach. Even if his skills stayed exactly how they are now, if he just improved his freethrows, he'd be much more of a force than he already is.
I agree that Dre isn't playing at a level he should be. There was the one play against Thompson in one of the early games where he took it to the hoop hard to dunk over him. Haven't seen it since. With his size and strength he should be doing this with some regularity. Sure, you're going to get fouled, but it's better than playing soft and letting them run in bench players to foul you when they like. Put some of those fouls on players where they will make a difference.
I think we can also give a lot of credit to TT as well. That guy has showed up for the playoffs once his name has been called. He's been making Dre work on nearly every board and possession.
The fact that TT can go toe toe with Dre on the rebounding end and outrebounding him on the OREBs while being several inches shorter shows how much of a vital part he is for that team.
I'm all for giving TT credit. I've always liked him, and the year he was drafted he was "supposed to go" in the Piston's range, but Cleveland drafted him in front of us. As I noted in an earlier post, both Baynes and Drummond are at a disadvantage in this series. Thompson, Love, and James are a much more formidable frontcourt than Drummond/Baynes and our two combo forwards. Except for our centers we're undersized.
