Great 2 on with only thepossibility of making it 3 to 4, we get a ground ball that has eyes and cant get an out out of it.

Beyond pissening....
I **** hate coming to Colorado. It always has this kind of potential.

Maeda...very cool under pressure.

Never a doubt (in his mind, not mine).

Unbelievable that this team can't generate more than 4 or 5 runs in this park.

We haven't hit for **** since San Diego.

All Hail King Kenta

Post#686 » by Ranma » Sun Apr 24, 2016 2:25 am

Maeda leaves the game in the 7th with only one out. An outstanding performance in a hazardous environment for pitchers. I was concerned how he would handle pitching in the thin air of Coors Field. Kenta is an absolute stud!

Corey Needs to Collect Himself at SS

Post#687 » by Ranma » Sun Apr 24, 2016 2:28 am

Seager with an errant throw to 1B that puts the runner at 2B. Utley then backs up A-Gon on the ball that pops off his glove. We just need 1 more out to get out of the 7th inning with the runner now at 3B.

Do I have ANOTHER ground ball to complain to the baseball gods about?

Maybe not...

Crawford
Simmons
Nick Ahmed

all would have ate that ball up.

Kendrick Can't, Wood Can

Post#692 » by Ranma » Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:32 pm

Weak at-bat by Kendrick against a struggling Lyles. I know convention dictates taking the 1st pitch from a guy struggling to find the plate, but looking fastball right down the middle should be a no-brainer. It took a great play to get Howie out but his batted-ball-in-play was weakly hit. Maybe I'm being hard on him but dude is batting .167 right now.

Wood seems to be pitching well to start at least.

base running mistake by Thompson going to 3rd ona ball hit ahead of him.

I disagree with Orel though because I think if he didnt run to 3rd (in coordination with the hop), I think Story might go home there.

Joc Hot & Spicy

Post#697 » by Ranma » Sun Apr 24, 2016 9:10 pm

The Dodgers telecast mentioned how Dave Roberts had Joc Pederson playing pepper before today's game to help with his bat control and he then socks a 2-run shot. Alex Wood proceeds to then hit a long single that would have been a double had he took a running stride out of the box. Utley then chases Lyles out of the game with a single.

Put up a zero Alex.

Don't give them hope at chipping away.
