This Booker discussion needs to die already. Johnson looked good tonight, I enjoyed watching him go after LBJ. I'm still amazed watching how good Richardson is and how far his shot has come.

• On Towns: “It’s pretty amazing for a first-year guy to come in and do the things he did. There’s obviously room for growth. But his skill set is very unusual. He has the potential to be very good defensively, with his rebounding, his shot blocking. The way he plays the game, the way he sees the game, he has the ability to make other players better. He had a very impressive first year, but it’s just the beginning. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done to move the group forward.”

Would be disappointed if Jokic doesn't finish #2 in ROY.

Requiring at least 1000 minutes played Jokic led all centers in both BPM and RPM in the 2015-16 season

You don't see anyone complaining about Lakers fans being uber-homers.

Lakers fans are the worst! Sorry, I take that back. Knicks fans are definitely the worst, but the Lakers fans come in second. There are definitely good Lakers fans and Knicks fans, but they have waaay more homers and fans will absolutely no basketball knowledge.

Or we just have larger fan bases compared to a lot of other fan bases making the less knowledgeable more noticeable?

Ya they have really solidified you're guys bench. They come in, your energy and athleticism go up and your D gets better as well. I don't know if Richardson's shooting is real or just an extremely hot long streak. But right now those two are playing great

I'm afraid of what that man is going to be able to turn that kid into.

yeah I'm guessing the verdict on Richardson's shot will remain in limbo until next season starts and folks have had time to figure him out a little. We'll see what adjustments he's forced to make. For now though ride that wave kid is money.

Ya that's how I feel. I think next year is going to be a big tell on how good his shot really is. But ya right now his shot is going down and the dude Ds up. When you got two rookies who are getting around 30mpg in the playoffs and I think the majority of fans are very happy with that and even wouldn't mind seeing those guys get more minutes. You know they're doing something right. They're effective and very fun to watch

Only positive from Game 4, Norman Powell silently picking up 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3pt & 2-2 FT). This guy has more upside than DeMar ever had.
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

Having spent the last hour on youtube trying to pick out good Devin Booker highlights for my project, I can say with 99% certainty that Eddie Johnson is JMac.

Only statnerds such as yourself think Jokic was the second best rookie this season.

Porzingis eclipsed him. Porzingis played more minutes and helped anchor one of the best interior defenses in the league (go look it up on your wristwatch calculator). Jokic has a slight edge on him on offense - mainly passing, but that's about it. Porzingis beats him in terms of defense, played more minutes, and played a bigger role on his team.

Came here to post this!

Most people haven't really seen Mario's rookie season since it was full of a lot of sitting. You can really see glimpses of a great player, just needs to keep improving his defense and ball handling and he should be a fine player.

I can also talk out of my ass without numbers to back it up too.

Jokic has a significant edge on offense - passing, post scoring, jumpshooting, pick and roll game. Porzingis maybe has an edge in the isolation game, but there's no way in hell I want Jokic or my centers doing ISOs. The Knicks interior D numbers was also to do with pairing with Lopez rather than Faried.

Jokic is also a much better 1on1 defender and rebounder. I'll give Porzingis an edge on interior defense/help defense but that's about it.

Jokic and KAT are the only rookies that put up All Star equivalent PERs and doesnt have a pathetic FG% for a big man.

Jokic also lead his team to more wins, has a higher ORTG and DRTG and in terms of baseless conjecture like your argument Jokic also destroyed Porzingis on both ends of the court in the last game where they actually exclusively defended each other.

Eh every1 gets overzealous about their rookies after the big games, but over the course of the thread I don't think Lakers fans have been too homerish. And to be fair with all the stupid shortsighted criticism he was getting early on makes sense to wanna bump him up a bit.

D'angelo did well considering the circumstances with Kobe putting up the most shots. I think D'angelo and Towns are the only rookies that have star power in this draft. You could argue D'angelo is the best offensive player out of the draft with that nice stretch he had after the all star break.

Some people are really overlooking what an full saeson grind as a start, does to a rookie.

People who fallow the Knicks, remember how Porzingis looked his first two month.

That was a different Porzingis, to the one we saw in the second half of the saeson.

Yeah, Booker and Jokic are great, but you can't compere them to Porzingis.

And I know they both would challenge KAT for ROTY, if they played starter minutes from the beginning of a season.

I'm a mere bystander but I really think that Booker has Ray Allen prime's potential (24+4+4 with good fg%).
If Porzingis can do better than this ok, but I'm pretty skeptical...
