My friend was trying to tell me today that Chris Bosh wasn't that good because "he shouldn't be playing center" :noway:
Dude was an all star. BTW, my friend didn't even know who Hassan Whiteside was :nonono:

I'm watching the Mavericks hang with OKC (on the road) and I just can't figure out how they're doing it. Their starting backcourt is Felton and Deron Williams, two undersized, out-of-shape, over-the-hill guards who can't defend their own shadow. Their starting center is Zaza Pachulia, a floor bound journeyman that nobody felt was worth more than $5.2M. They've got some rookie named Justin Anderson guarding Durant. And they have a 57-year-old Dirk who doesn't even try on defense anymore because he has to carry so much of a load on offense.

There is a good argument to be made that Warlock Carlisle is the best coach in the NBA. I'm not sure I agree, but there is a real argument.

Uh is there an argument that Warlock Carlisle is at worse the second best coach in the NBA.... They just beat OKC...and honestly Durant and Westbrook look HORRIBLE in the clutch. They are OUT OF CONTROL when it matters

Man. Dallas stole one tonight.

Frankly, if I were Durant, if my squad can't sweep a depleted Mavs team, I *have* to be thinking about signing elsewhere next year.

First playoff game I had time to watch, and what a game. I was wondering the same thing about how the Mavs could stay with OKC, but a great coach can sometimes do wonders with experienced players, a few spark plugs, and some duct tape.

If Hardnen and Howard can't beat Golden State tonight the Rockets should let Howard go and consider starting over from scratch. Harden is looking a lot like Carmelo right now- Elite scorer that looks great on a fantasy or all star team but is a problem if you want a championship.

I don't think Harden is the problem on that team. I think it's everyone else

Howard is a REAL problem. If he ops out he is an idiot...because only Erine would give him a long term max deal.

Two parts spark plug and duct tape for Dallas were true rookie Justin Anderson and thirty-year old rookie Salah Mejri, who played twice the minutes of veteran player Zaza Pachulia.

Good coaches use talent wisely.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

Byron Scott FIRED.

Wonder if Jeanie Buss will fire her brother. Maybe Mitch is gone too

I've never understood why mitch has been there as long as he has... His drafting record isn't exactly stellar... did he draft Bynum? Might be the only guy I can think of who they may have had some good seasons for em. I attribute most of their cheap decent FAs to LA market rather then Mitch himself.

Kupchak did draft Bynum, Marc Gasol, and Jordan Clarkson. Even though Marc Gasol wasn't used by the Lakers, it did help the Lakers acquire Paul Gasol

I think when Mitch has had picks, he's done decent.

LAL have routinely traded picks for short term gain. They still might lose their pick this year because of the 2012 Nash trade.

Have any of you been watching the other SL games? The Bucks have this kid Thon Maker who played pro ball in Australia, him and the Greek freak are going to be nasty together in a few years.
