Re: Head Coach
Lakers finally fired Scott
i heard this rumor last week that they want JVG
since we know how much Jim Buss like to mess with the team not sure JVG will like that

I beat you with reporting Scott was fired. I think Lakers go with a young coach in Walton to bring along Russell, Randle and Clarkson and whomever they pick with their top 3 pick.
Good to see Jeremy Lin play well vs Heat the other day. McHale and Byron Scott killed his chances to become a star player but he still belongs in the league.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Good to see more Luke Walton votes. I think he's the right direction to go.

i think Morey/Harden kill Lin's chance
Lin got the potential but not consistent enough for contender team
when we got Harden and Howard and got a chance to compete
McHale opt for winning more games than letting young players grow
i guess that's Morey's plan
stay competitive but at the same time got few young prospect to develop (like Spurs but we never have them in our rotation)
i like Lakers go with more experienced coach to coach their young players
Walton is always a west coast guy, he will either be Kings or Lakers head coach
JVG being Lakers coach just don't seem right, just like when Rudy T was with Lakers
i don't care we hired rookie or veteran head coach
i want someone who are not stubborn and willing to change
Popovich is great because he's willing to adopt new system
in the early 2000s Spurs was also slow pace, defense first boring team

it's no secret JVG wanted to coach again
he's just waiting for the right team
judging from what i hear
i really doubt he will pick Rockets over Lakers
the only thing stop him from taking the Lakers job is Jim Buss
it will be up to Jeannie Buss to give him how much power over Jim

The Rockets should give JVG the guarantee right now.

Re: Head Coach
Doesn't JVG still live in Houston? I'm sure if he's interested, those who need to know do.

That said, I don't want JVG. He's been away too long.

You can change your vote in the poll so the Brooks and thibs voters should change to a different choice.

Re: Head Coach
David Blatt meeting with Knicks so that could be one more coach gone before elimination. He would be a good fit for KNicks building around KP since he is familiar with the Euro game.
At least one person here voted for him to be Rockets coach (not me, I chose Brooks then repicked Cassell after Brooks signed with Wiz)

Phil probably won't hire him because he doesn't really run the holy triangle. I guess he could run it more but it seems like Phil just wants a puppet, once Fisher strayed from the triangle he axed him

Re: Head Coach
According to Tim Bontemps (I don't know of him that well just that he works for the Washington post so he must be someone legitimate) the talk around the league is that JVG is expected to be the Rockets coach if they don't retain JBB

I guess it's possible they keep Rambis but the players don't like him. Van Gundy and Jackson don't like each other so that's unlikely though I think Knicks fans would love JVG to come back.
JVG to Rockets makes the most sense so that's probably why it won't happen.

Things can change quickly in the NBA so even if he doesn't end up in Houston I genuinely believe if they had to chose today it would be JVG
