Get a pass for what, having the 2nd most assists in the playoffs ?

When a PG is doubled every possession and forced to be a playmaker, you don't judge them by how much they scored vs double teams. You judge by how much they made the defense pay for doubling, and he averaging 9 apg (12 in games 3 & 4).

If you want him to score more, then we need to put better shooters/scorers around him so they can't double him, which is the whole point here. KCP was solid offensively, but solid wasn't good enough to keep them from doubling, and when you're playing 4 on 3 most of the game because of it, you have to be better than just solid. We have to be able to capitalize more on that, because when you're giving up 28 ppg to your man on the other end, it's going to be tough to win with just solid offense.

A player that can draw constant doubles and pass out of them to the tune of 9 apg is not a liability, it's an asset. Lack of talent around him is the issue here, and when said talent isn't getting it done on defense either, upgrades need to be made. I'm talking all 3 (SG/SF/PF) too, not just KCP, so stop with your bias nonsense.

THIS! THIS x 1000!

Todd and I disagree a bit on KCP overall but everything in his reply is MONEY!

KCP, Harris, Mook & SJ need to make teams pay for packing the paint or doubling RJ.

His assist numbers show he got them enough opportunities - we just didn't nail them!

KCP shot 44% from 3 on 6.8 attempts and a TS of 58%. In regards to the playoffs, KCP was helping space the defense

Mookk shot .389% from three on 4.5 per game.

Tobias shot .333% from three on 3 per game

SJ shot .600% from three on 2.3 per game

RJ shot .167% from three on 4.5 per game

If we play how we did in the playoffs for a full or most of a full season we should be looking at a 2-3 seed. Looks like our guys shot pretty good around RJ in the playoffs, now RJ on the other hand couldn't hit ****. That shouldn't hold up tho

And this is where Todd and I differ:

I firmly believe that given more time together and more experience Harris, Mook, SJ & KCP will be even better from long range AND in attacking the seams RJ has created.

I lol at the people who single out any individual and blame him for our ills! It's not ONE guy!

It's a lack of experience as a group, knowing where the openings are or will be and exploiting that area to the fullest!

THIS is why coaches talk about roster turnover and continuity!

Keeping our top 7 together is crucial for our success. No superstar is walking through that door! No Durant, no Curry, no Lebron.

Our best chance is to build a TEAM! And that is precisely what SVG has been doing.

FYI - ain't a coach alive that only thinks about his starting 5 - it's all about the entire rotation.

Let that sink in before anyone throws ONE player under the bus when we lose

I'm fine with a top10/12 pg like Jackson.

It's Todd's logic who is flawed. KCP/MOOK/TOBY hit 3s= credit to RJ. They miss=they aren't adequate shooters.

Imagine if all our guys played Defense like KCP with their offensive game. They would all be superstars and they would win the championship.

RJ shot poorly because he was working his a* off on defense. He needs to figure out a good balance. I love what pharaoh said, we need continuity. and with experience our boys are only going to get better
