Agree. It looks like our rotation will be, Teheran, Norris, Wisler, Chacin, Folty.

I'd love to see Perez beat out Norris for a spot. Norris had a couple of surprisingly good years, but he was so bad with the O's last year that I lost faith (full disclosure - I've always been both a Braves and O's fan.).

I have faith in Roger McDowell with Norris. See Aaron Harang, Jim Johnson(when with Braves last season) and Jason Grilli. Roger has done good getting those players back to form.

Offer the DBacks Inciarte for Pollock? Nah, that'd be cruel. :)

Braves looking to deal for picks. Long-term view still the focus.

Choose wisely, Coppy. We need a great draft to reinvigorate the fanbase.

And that's exactly what they did today - taking on Matusz' contract and getting the O's 3rd round pick (# 76). I think Matusz has around $3 mil left on on his contract. It also gives them spending flexibility, because it adds the money for the 76th pick to their pot of money that they're allowed to spend in the draft.

ESPN's Dave Schoenfield thinks the Braves should trade for Evan Longoria,

At most I would do, Albies, Newcomb, Blair/Wisler and Tousaaint for Longoria, Xavier Cedeno and and Daniel Robertson.

This would be a huge upgrade at 3b, Longoria will attract fans. But this also means by moving Albies, you prepare to pair Demeritte with Swanson up the middle, once he is ready.

I think we'd be WC favorites at the least if we added Longoria.

If the pitching holds up their end(starting and bullpen), we might contend for the NL East. A lineup with Freeman, Kemp, Longoria, Markakis, Inciarte, Phillips and Swanson. :o

I have my doubts but I will be positive.
Contending is exactly what the city needs.
