Bears 2nd round thread

Post#1 » by TNBT » Fri Apr 29, 2016 4:32 am

I didn't see a draft thread other than the one for Floyd, so I'm wondering what all of your thoughts are as to who we take in round 2 and beyond? Personally I'd love to add A'Shawn Robinson in round 2 to add to the line.

I'm thinking DL or QB.

A'Shawn Robinson, Jarron Reed, Chris Jones, Noah Spence, and Jonathan Bullard are options at DL. However Pace seems to value personality and football character so Spence might be off the board in Round 2.

At QB I'd have to think one of Cook or Hackenberg.

Then again Myles Jack fits the kind of player Pace wants... Depends on how Bears medical staff views his issue.

If the pick is Jack, where would he play?

I'd hesitate on picking Jack. He's immensely talented as we all know, but that knee just scares the hell out of me. I'd rather go DL like Robinson in round 2 then look to add a project QB in a later round.

If Noah Spence is there, do you guys take him? He might be the best pass rusher.

Chris Jones, John Bullard, Mackensie Alexander, Myles Jack, A'Shawn Robinson, Jarron Reed, Connor cook, Hackenberg, Jason Spriggs,Kevin Dodd, and Vonn Bell are available and one of them will be there for us in the second. I think we're in a great position and one of those guys would probably drop to us in the third as well.

He can easily play OLB. right now he's a better rusher than Floyd

My favorite guys on the board right now are Jones, Fuller and Spriggs. I'd only take Spriggs if no DEs or CBs with a similar rating are left on the board even though I like him so much

Wow, Pace got 2 fourth rounders (this year and next year) for moving down 8 spots. Really good deal

We've got a ton of 4th rounders now.

3 this year and 2 next.

I feel like we are robbing teams. Bears only had to gave up a 4th rounder to move up 2 spots in the first.

I think there are great chances now for sure that the Bears will take a QB. I'm thinking Connor Cook. Anyone think he would last till the 3rd round?

all these trade downs means the Bears will draft a QB this year. Guess they didn't like Hackenberg though

Emery would just draft a 3rd rounder in the second round instead if the player he wanted was there.

PFF has Whitehair rated out as their 17th best prospect. OL depth is always good.
