Saturday: Day 3 rounds 4-7 thread

Post#1 » by City of Trees » Sat Apr 30, 2016 3:26 am

So far the Bears has three picks in round 4, one in round 5, two in round 6, and one in round 7 for a total of seven picks. Tons of QB's still on the board. Three really good RB's Howard, Booker, Dixon.

I'd like to see the Bears get a QB, Jerell Adams, and a CB or S in round 4

Anybody else a fan of Connor Cook?

Big, strong, athletic but seems to face the same problem as Cutler. Just rubs people the wrong way.

I'd take a shot at him in the 4th. Not as big of a risk then, but he has the talent.

Yeah, Cook has talent and could be a steal in the 4th round if he doesn't turn out to be a cancer in the locker room. If he's still there though, I'd probably pick him. Hopefully we can get a chance at him and some DB help in the 4th, and maybe a project/high-upside TE prospect as well.

The talent left is ridiculous. We can still draft 1st talent in the 4th if we get lucky. Here's what I hope happens for the remainder of the draft.

RD 4A: Connor Cook
RD 4B: Jeremy Cash
RD 4C: Harlan Miller
RD 5: Scooby Wright III
RD 6: Paul Perkins
RD 6: Alex McCalister
RD 7: Thomas Duatre

If Pace had any questions about Connor Cook's leadership or lack there of, all he had to do was talk with Jeremy Langford.

Jeremy Adams should be targeted in this round... Huge need. His Huge catch radius is just the way Jay Cutler likes them. AND he blocks!

Unrealistic here but best case is:

4a: Jerell Adams
4b: Jeremy Cash
4c: Maurice Canady or Deiondre Hall
5: Brandon Allen (Pace's guy I guess?)

I do not like Connor Cook as a 4th rounder. We just saw Jacoby Brissett and that guy from USC be selected over him. There's clearly some lingering issues with his injury and the NFL front offices noticed it. Counterpoint being Russell Wilson so who knows.

With our 3 picks in the 4th round, I hope we address the secondary. A CB, and safety would be nice but I kinda expect the Bears to take a tackle to possibly address the RT need.

Though it's really unlikely, I'd like to see Jordan Howard get taken from IU. Think he can be really good.

Would rather take a shot at Jones than Cook. Either way will be alright I guess. I have a feeling Cook is not a Bears new regime kind of guy.

The Raven have 5 picks in round 4, and are also looking for a backup

Dak Prescott in a later round would be alright.

Everybody is really high on him. Sounds like he'll be a standout on ST and ready to step in for Freeman in a couple seasons

If we don't take Billings or Jerell Adams if they're available at 124 we messed up.

I guess the Bears are taking out their 2 iron in this draft after the first round, putting the driver in the bag.

Bears took Deon Bush, there's our safety.
