This will make people happy, if you're looking for an ILB who can cover, which we are, this is a much better pick than Scooby Wright.

Athletic enough imo, not a freak or he wouldve gone earlier.

"There, I got an ILB, and really high in the draft as the 4th rd is, are you happy?"

He's smart. He went to Stanford. He's disciplined. Never had a dessert in college.

Can he cover? I thought he was regarded as mediocre in that department when I previously looked at the ILB list.

Some questions about coverage but he's got tools to work with.

Not athletic, but seems like a very sure football player. Good tackler. Some scouts saw him as an OLB re mostly his height I think. Will be suspect vs. TEs in coverage.

Most had him 5th round I think.

Meh. Good opportunity fot the kid. One injury and he's starting for a pseudo-SB contender. Happy we did something at the position.

It's not his strength but it's not like he's horrible.

Worst case he push's Barrington and provides depth at a thin position.

Best case he's better in coverage than advertised and overtakes Barrington in the starting lineup.

In the NFL draft studs can be found in every round and every year that's proven correct. I'll hold out hope till he proves me wrong

Define athletic....his 40 is 4.64...Ragland ran a 4.74

Alright, it sounds like he could go either way in the coverage department. Strap in and hold on for the ride.

I still say Bromie better acquire a vet ILB thru waiver or trades.

Straight speed is okay. Not particularly explosive-athletic.

Fast and athletic tackling machine. Not a bad pick.

We desperately needed an Ilb, hope he's a good one.

Would be pretty awesome of a year or two Jake Ryan and Martinez finally fill the hole and these two 4th rounders are kicking butt at Ilb.

PFF is high on him and his abilities to cover

I gotta say I'm glad TT and the gang are making an effort to draft LBs who can run.

I understand he's comparable or faster to Ragland in speed. Ragland is 15 pounds heavier and is way, way more of a punisher/thumper.
His athleticism may be sufficient, just when you're not the hitter at ILB, it probably has to be better (athleticism).
I've read conflicting things about his coverage ability. We'll see.
