I feel it's almost certainly going to be Van Gundy , they need more than anything else a guy with strong credentials to reign in Harden.

You really can't try first time younger HC , and I see little reason Blatt will work out too well. JVG is pretty much the only real option here (well other than Thibs but that's out now.)

Walton officially going to LA. Wish we would've gotten that interview first but eh, I trust JVG or Messina more anyways

Walton to the Lakers is a great move for both parties.

Why would Walton want to come here after having a front row seat for 5 games to the dysfunction of this team?

Not sure what they are waiting for. JVG is the best option available out there

Morey said in today's paper than they will be taking their sweet time and JBB will be seriously considered to stay.
JVG and Jeff Horancek and Lionel Hollins are considered frontrunners. Morey is crazy. NBA combine starts May 11. ROckets may not have a first rounder but they have 2 second rounders and who knows maybe we can get a late first rounder for Ariza (send him to ATL for pick #21). We need a new coach ASAP.

they expect free agent to come over here when they don't even know who their coach is?

Kevin McHale and Patrick Ewing in the running to be kings head coach.

Kings is in a mess right now
good name coach will not take the job
Ewing been looking for head coach job for long time
McHale want to coach again and he is good player coach
i think they will pick McHale
Mark Jackson is actually not bad (he's good player coach as well) just he doesn't always agreed with the front office and Kings front office is one of the worst

I feel bad for Ewing it feels like he has been trying to get a HC position for over a decade now. Meanwhile so many other guys Randy Whittman, Byron Scott, Mike Brown, Kurt Rambis etc. seem to get multiple chances.

Kevin Durant recently commented about the importance if a head coach

I choose to interpret that as "don't be dummies, Houston! Go get JVG!" :)

JVG is the obvious choice
but you know how Morey and Les can be so stupid
i believe JVG will demand more power and that Morey and Les aren't willing to give him
we all know Morey is always very active in trade market
if coach don't have power to keep the players he wanted how can he coach?

The Pacers and Frank Vogal haven't even discussed a new contract apparently. That would be a great signing. Second on my list to JVG

I've changed my vote from Walton to JVG.

Let's get both Durant AND Westbrook down here.

I know this will never happen but I hope terry stots quits after never getting a extension before the season and then choose to become the Houston's head coach. Or something crazier like Blazers letting him walk.

we are treating head coach like player
whenever someone is available everyone jump ship
Vogel and Stotts are good coach but i still think JVG is the better choice
we need a head coach that players will respect

I seriously doubt the Blazers will let Stotts get away but he just had a COY worthy season and I love JVG but he's been out of the league for a long time, there's a chance he won't be so great. I'd still rather have him than Vogel though just because I believe JVG will be able to get through to Harden like he did to TMac

JVG may not be coaching but he's on ESPN. He watched lot of game and he got good relationship with players and coaches.
His problem was too slow to make adjustment during the game.
And lot of his plays are predictable.
