Clifford never really trusted Lin, isn't he?

Cliff's stubborness is the hard ceiling on this team. Running iso plays for Kemba and Al again and again when it wasn't working, without any adjustments - you know what they say about insanity and doing the same thing but expecting different results?

This pecking order is probably not optimal for Lin's career, reduced to a sub-20 min bench scrub behind the likes of Lee, Batum, MKG, etc. In the final moments, the fact that Cliff trusted a clearly hobbled and ineffective Batum and even Troy Daniels as the option of last resort over Lin (and allowing Kemba to stat pad while 3-15) doesn't bode well for trust. For Lin, it should be Kenny Atkinson or bust this offseason.

I pretty much tuned out of the game after the 3rd quarter. Maybe Clifford just threw in the towel? We weren't going to come back with Lin or not, the game was already over imo.

Checked boxscore immediately after noticing that in the 3rd qtr we were being blown out, saw Lin's minutes. and that was it.

I don't think Clifford bothers to check the +/- when Jeremy Lin's on the floor.

He took away the biggest help Kemba had all season, and left Kemba and Al Jefferson to play 2015 Hornets ball.

As far as I'm concerned Lin should play on a team that respects and trusts him , Coach obviously went with what he was more comfortable with, damn the prior results and damn the stats that show Lin contributes what the hornets need badly

Hornets bros, I believe Lin easily outplayed his 2 mil contract and helped win ya'll several games that were going to be losses including 2 playoff games and prevented an embarrassing sweep. Hope you can distinguish between the player and some of his more anno- err passionate fans and thanks for letting him rebuild his value after the Lakers fiasco. My fellow Lin fans.. I never got the point of arguing with the team's long-time fans. Keep the koolaid on the lin boards and stop trying to turn topic to him.

For better or for worse there is very little chance Lin resigns. He should get a couple of decent offers, nothing crazy but more than the Hornets will be able to match after they take care of signing higher priorities.

Great season for Lin, he stated he had fun and learned a lot. And good season for the team who finally notched a playoff victory again. If we were told at the beginning of the season CHA would take Miami to game 7, most of us would have thought that would be a good outcome. Unfortunately the most recent memories are the strongest and getting blown out this last game leaves a bad taste for the start of the post-season. But next year Hornets fans will be saying "we almost made it to the second round! This year we will break through." Hope Lin also has post season success wherever he ends up.

Seriously, what are the differences between game 7 and game 1 & 2? Heat defense and offense are both better. And Hornets?

I think Lin is gone too. He was good for the most part but the org. will feel he is replaceable and not match higher offers.
Weather they are right or not I guess we'll see.

I hope the bitter ending vs. MIA doesn't color how much he seemed to enjoy being a Charlotte Hornet this year. He was an incredibly valuable member of the team. He and Kemba had a great partnership. I hope Lin is back next year.

If Atkinson believes Lin is a starter or 6th man, I'm pretty sure Lin will be in Brooklyn next year. I don't know what Lin's asking price will be but I can definitely see the Nets offering 3yr/$30-$36mil due to the increased cap.

This was an up and down year for Lin but overall it was a positive experience for him, so much better than his stint in L.A. and time in Houston imo. He had one bad game in this series but it was good for him to pick up this type of experience, it'll only improve his comfort level for the future.

I'm hoping that he can get a new shooting coach in the off-season because whatever he did last off-season didn't end up working. His 3 pt shot is totally broken.

Charlotte was a good place for him this year, great teammates, fair coach. As for next year it's too early for me to tell what would be best for him, will all depend on what type of offers he gets.

depends on your sample size, but the numbers weren't wrong today. ill go with the stats that tell the true impact of players like Spencer Hawes, Frank, Lin etc when it comes to which rotations and lineups lead to increased points from opposing teams and which lineups lead to more points for the Hornets.

Doesn't matter anyway, chances of Lin being on the team after this year have decreased with Clifford crunch time lineups.

For someone that was brought in to help Kemba, sure didnt look like thats what they wanted anymore in Game 7.

Maybe so, but anyone with eyes can see Hornets play better with Lin on the floor and as a PG. Kemba as the PG sucked horribly today. Kemba/Batum combo was a disaster. Playing a player going 3 for 16 in any NBA game is a disaster, never mine game 7 of an important playoff series. Also, Kemba was getting lit up by Dragic. Lin played great D on Dragic but was sitting on the bench most of the time. That is just horrible coaching period.

Lin is better off finding a team that gives him more consistent role. No way he deserve only 19 mins today and Clifford blows hard as a coach today. Hornets would have been better leaving Batum at home.

once jeremy can knock down his 3s, he has more of a reason to stay on the court. i think once miami took away the paint in games 6 and 7, you see jeremys minutes went down. its not so much that clifford doesnt trust jeremy as much as clifford doesnt trust jeremys shot and i cant say i blame him here.

that being said, what i wouldve liked to see is him putting a shooter in like TD30 or Lamb but i guess he was too worried about rebounding to go small. well, the result is we had neither defense nor offense because our bigs are soft.

Perhaps CHA has been betting on the wrong horse.
Remember who actually played significant role with the win on game 3-5 & whom did not ..

Anyway, enjoyed Lin's time more in CHA than last year especially.
At least got the chance to witness some 'Linsanity' games this season.
