Your statement is based on virtually no sample size.
Bringing in osuna was the right move. He's fresh and theres no reason to tax Stroman's arm.
I know it's a small sample size, but the difference is extremely noticeable just from the eye test. I almost feel more comfortable with Osuna coming into the game to face the 3, 4 and 5 batters in a one-run game in order to get the save than Osuna coming into a four-run game. He eases up a bit too much and it has resulted in losses/blown leads more often than when he is in a save situation.
Save situations since he became the full-time closer: 29.1 IP, 18 H, 5 ER, 5 BB, 31 K [0-1, 26 SV, 2 BS]
Non-save situations since he became the full-time closer: 18.1 IP, 18 H, 10 ER, 3 B, 22 K [0-3]
Also, Stroman had just reached the 100-pitch mark and he was cruising. It worked out in the end, but I still don't like the move. Just my opinion.
