I guess he did prove that he could shoot the corner three in his rookie season, but just not sure it will happen given his hand size. Did his hand size grow a lot since the rookie year? Is there another with such large hands that can shoot from the top of the key and the perimeter? Don't just list some tall dude who can shoot, unless you have some hand measurables "handy". We know he is very gifted with the ball in his dribbling, but I'm not sure he will ever develop a stroke where the ball comes off his hands smoothly enough.

Wilt's hands measured 9.5" length, 11.5" spread. According to a website I just looked at, them's the biggest on record (but Kawhi and several others are close enough and Giannis' are rumoured to be much bigger).
My theory about the "unsmoothness" of Yanni's shot is that he started playing basketball late in life, and so he didn't develop that smooth, "catch (or pull up), gather, lift and shoot" motion that most guys who've been playing since they were little kids have. Pure speculation on my part, but it makes sense to me intuitively.
I could see how growing hands could disrupt mechanics, but I can't think of a reason why just having big hands would permanently disrupt or ruin mechanics.
ETA: I'm not saying I'm convinced Giannis will develop his jumper- I think his chances are very good, but I am concerned about it.
