Braun should be the NL POM

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Sun Jul 1, 2007 2:16 pm

The game yesterday should have sealed it.

His second in the entire majors this month in OPS behind Bonds. He lead the majors in doubles. 2nd in triples.

I think Utley or Bonds gets it based upon name recognition, but the award should go to Braun.

Player of the Month may go to Soriano, actually. Braun's own teammate in Corey Hart is another deserving candidate

I think Soriano or Bonds gets it, but I believe Braun to be more worthy. He's been unreal.

June stats:

OPS:
Utley 1.158
Bonds 1.138
Braun 1.073
Soriano 1.072
Hart 1.050

Avg.
Utley .402
Braun .361
Bonds .354
Hart .337
Soriano .333

I think Utley gets it.

Is NL Rookie Of The Month good enough?
