Thank you, and thanks everyone saying nice things. This one really worked out for me. When the 2nd round began West was at the top of my list to pair with Bird. I kinda can't believe I actually got him.

You're lucky. I had like 4 guys I wanted with my back to back, and all of them gone lol

He has an impact on the defense like an elite defensive big and he might be the best wing defender of alltime. His offense has been growing a lot over the years and now he has one of the best three point shot in the league shooting at 44% on 4 attempts per game.

Definitely not a reach. He most likely would not have made it more than 2 or 3 picks past you and if by some miracle he did I certainly would have taken him.

Yeah if he would have dropped to my pick I would have strongly considered him, although I think I would have still taken Scottie

Just speaking for myself here: I'm not taking the FGA limit seriously to the point that I would actively choose a worse team in order to try to win as that seems pretty pointless. I don't know who I would have picked first between Durant or Kawhi as my #1 guy here, but I can certainly see an argument for Kawhi.
But it does influence the thought process, no? Michael Jordan dropped to the 4th pick. I might end up changing years for Shaq to a non-peak year to get his FGA a bit lower. With no FGA limit, neither of those things would happen. I mean a certain all-time great Laker hasn't been taken yet and I suspect its mostly because of his FGA, not because he's hard to build around.
It clearly does for some but not for me. If this makes it so I can't win the game, that's too bad but I'll live with it.
I will say though that FGA constraints were first put in place in things like this to help encourage people to actually think about chemistry rather than having a team full of scorers - in other words to help them build better teams, not worse teams. So to me if what I'm doing fits with the spirit of such constraints I figure I'm good. I'm not going to go around tallying FGAs on bkref, but I am conscious of the need for balance and the compromise that players on my team would need to be willing to make in taking on roles of lower scoring primacy.
