The game was lost in the third quarter when we went about 10 possessions straight without even trying to penetrate or getting the ball inside. If we weren't jacking up lazy transition bricks we were walking around waiting for the clock to wind down.

I see the same thing happening that happened last series. Derozan is being handed the ball at standstill (little 4 foot dump passes)too often and too early in the clock. The defense is always set right in front of him. No one on the opposition is confused about who they are guarding. Whatever ensues is a usually a disaster or an ill advised shot. Kyle is apparently happy to see Demar unload his clip, and the rest of the guys must be shaking their heads wondering what kind of mess they are witnessing. Demare C, to me, doesn't look too pleased with the offense. He' s been open and passed up a lot.

The TNT guys are all over it too. How many times will we have to hear them say, almost in disbelief, that our half court offense is pretty horrible? Had to laugh when they pondered if Demar would be able to find the correct offensive choice down the stretch. Never!!!

If your guys refuse to listen, you're the coach, sit them.

Either way you shouldn't be a coach if the players don't follow a system or if you don't have one. Both are terrible.

I like Casey but I can't help but feeling that he's our Mark Jackson. I don't know if there's another Steve Kerr out there though.

His name is Vogel.

Just back from the game, some notes from #teampositive:

- We had numerous chances to win this game despite Lowry putting in one of the worst performances from an All Star starter in playoff history
- This is a winnable series
- The problem with this team is offense
- Those predicting Heat in 4 or 5 after this game are sadly mistaken. It'll be a long one and the pain will go on.
- I've never seen a team shoot itself in the foot more than this one yet still be competitive. You have to believe that if they somehow put it together they can be the 56 win team we saw all year
- As frustrating a game as this was it was still a much better effort than Game 1, 4, or 6 last series and we ended up winning that one
- All the negative posters here must've been the ones who left in the 4th at the game before the miracle 3
- If you can't stomach close playoff games (and losses), go follow another team and sport please.

You can quote all the advanced stats you want, like posters have been posting for the past three years, calling this team elite and contenders. Doesn't change reality that this team and system is fundamentally flawed and we're going absolutely nowhere as constructed and ran.

I don't know how many years it's going to take for some of you to realize this, I thought 3 was enough, but apparently not.

In Lowry's case I think that while he's not hurting us in any overt way, we've built our offense in such a way that when he isn't playing well it's the difference between like 105OffRtg and 95OffRtg for the team. Like we fall off the map. A Lowry playing like we've seen during the regular season makes this game easy for us. Instead we find ourselves in more offensive slumps that ultimately lose us the game. It's nice that he's doing his job in other ways, but we're a 2 man offensive team and neither of those guys is really playing well. (No I don't consider 22 points on 22 shots for DD to be a good game... props for those And1 shots in the 4th though).

Does anyone else feel that the Raps took their foot off the pedal when Whiteside went down? Or did they just get gassed from starting out so strongly?

Coming home from the game and I got a few comments about what I saw:

Overall it was a really emotional game and I just can't describe in words how amazing that shot was. It had that Jose Bautista bat flip feeling.

I feel like it is time to shut down Kyle, his shots are just not there and he is doing more harm to the team than good. It is time to start Cory and trust in our rookie Delon.

Powell, Biz and Patterson had horrible games and they all seemed not into this game.

JV played well but he also seemed lost at times, kinda wish they threw him more passes inside instead of off the dribble. He played well against whiteside.

Next game, we need to take out whiteside, Spolestra played him for the majority of the second half and if we get him out of the game early we have a really good chance in blowing out this team.

The Miami Heat is not a scary team at all, we just have a broken Kyle Lowry hurting the production and flow of our offense.

It's a pretty basic advanced stat.. We outscored our opponent with Lowry on the floor and were outscored with him on the bench (by a loooot).

I'm not saying we don't have problems (we do), but people are wrongfully using Kyle as the fall guy.

Neither of those things are true. But I personally thought the play was for Ross but the Heat had it covered.

We need scoring from our 4 position--and I mean from our actual 4s. This is why people wanted Masai to get a PF at trade deadline.
We need scoring from somewhere else. People said it was good not to do a trade, not to ruin our starting lineup and chemistry, well Scola hasn't played a single minute in the last 2-3 games.
I still believe the Raps can win this series. It's just I hate to see every playoff game as a struggle.
I hate pineapples.

What Lowry needs to do to get out of this slump is to play more within himself, don't force any bad shots, just keep making plays for your teammates, and if you get an open look, shoot.

He also needs to play defense and not be scared offensively. It's baffling.

We need new assistants. If Masai is adamant on keeping Casey then at least give the guy some better assistant coaches to hide his negatives.

The league wants Wade vs. Bron. They told KL he is being written out of the show so he is mailing it in for a few final episodes.
