how the hell do you interview someone for 7 hours?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I'm starting to worry that the Rockets off-season will be like their typical start of a second half of a game: slow & sluggish right out of the gates.

how long did your interview last?
i had one that last more than 8 hours, included lunch and interviewed by different people
for professional job it will take a very long time
you talk about lot of stuff not just the job
usually they talk more business in the 2nd interview

How do you guys feel about Chris Finch as our assistant? He's suppose to be in charge of our offense, but it looks stagnant. I'm not sure if the players are to blame or his 'system'. He was suppose to be groomed as our next HC but I don't see that happening now.

I thought James Harden is in charge of our offense?
Anyway someone on CF reminded us our defense went south after Sampson left. And he has good relationship with Harden. Harden even attend few UH games for support. Good idea to offer Sampson the head coach job?

He's on the list if you want to change your vote. I even predict he will be the pick just because I can't see morey bringing back jvg after he was the one who fired him.

If they thought JB was more qualified to take the coaching job over at the beginning of the year and JBB isn't good enough now what's changed that makes Finch look any more ready

I don't think we will know everyone they talk to before they do it. Rockets are a pretty tight lipped organization. Could be awhile though now that our only competition is the Kings and Knicks there's no reason to rush (even though the pacers might be but I have a feeling Bird is going after McHale). None of the good coaches want to go to those places because Kings and Phil Jackson

They talked to Sam cassell. He's been an assistant for seven years. I voted for him in the poll.

I could believe him wanting to get as far away from this situation as possible.

For all of the faults we found with him this past season he was in a really lousy situation.

He'll land on his feet!

Bird said no when asked about McHale but we'll see.

Vacancies: Houston, NY Knicks, Indiana, Sacaramento

Former head coaches looking for job: Vogel, JVG, Blatt, Hollins, Del Negro

Assistants looking to make jump to HC: Cassell, J.Howard, Ewing, Finch

NCAA possibilities: Kelvin Sampson, Shaka Smart, Billy Kennedy, Kevin Ollie

Ex-players now announcers without coaching experience: Kenny Smith, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Calvin Murphy
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Return to Houston Rockets
