And a few days before that he showed why he is mediocre at best at the moment, when he got carved up by Shane Long. He's been absolutely battered this season, a very poor fit for the PL.

Not saying he can't/won't improve at City, though. Still early days.

He plays for City, very good players look mediocre under Pellegrini, i expect a significant improvement with several players next year under Guardiola.
And Otamendi showed last night at his best that he can easily be top-5 IMO.

that jackson in serie a claim was hilarious back then and even more hilarious now

otamendi is not even a top 5 center back in manchester, but in a world where casillas is a top 5 keeper anything is possible

He is Porto's product. Nothing spectacular.

I told you guys 2 years ago that he is noy worth 35 mil. Atletico paid and he sucked and they were lucky to ship his ass to china.

We are not talking about those players. We are talking about Otamendi and Jackson Martinez who suck for a while now. You claimed he would score 20+ goals which we called it impossible. He moved to Spain and got his ass shipped within 4 months. Baphomet is the biggest epl follower on the forum and he said otamendi sucks.

Also, just a note. Those players you listed, none of them world class except Falcao a couple of years ago. Alex Sandro sucked for months, Pepe meh, Casemiro nothing yet, James overrated, Hulk in Russia doing nothing except getting obese, Carvalho was good also. So don't act like every Porto player is great.

I claimed he would score 20+ goals in Milan. Again, Atletico is a different scenario for every player in the world.

We all in Colombia thought Bacca to Atletico and Jackson to Milan made more sense for both players. Many in Colombia worried that he'd fail under Simeone because he's just not a high work rate guy.

Bacca did well in Italy, Jackson failed in Atletico. We can speculate that he'd fail in Milan or that he wouldn't, but it'd be just that, speculation

One thing is for sure, he proved he's not a top striker. Top players don't flop that badly. I don't think he socks though. He did well in the CL so it wasn't just the weak Portuguese league

Casillas is not top-5 anymore, he was for a decade, not top-5, but top-2 in the world.
But hey, still rather have Casillas instead of Muslera, that is for sure.
