i posted this a month ago after the celtics@suns game:

aIvin adams wrote:I got a question for y'all. WHO THE **** IS BURR? we got a bunch of banners around the arena like "Len's Lair" and "Bled Crew" and stuff like that. one says 'BURR SQUAD' (or maybe 'BURA SQUAD'?)

I don't know any NBA player by that name. is this some Suns franchise legacy?

anybody have any ideas? MathiasPW guessed Burp Squad. our esteemed moderator found this:

I have no idea but when googling it I came across this twitter profile. Check out the description under the twitter name.

...

Maybe that's Markieff Morris and Brandon Knight's joint twitter account.

Well, the true answer is much less fun than the alternatives, for sure

Apparently fans cheering Burr when Archie did something really well didn't catch on well in Phx. If only one person within the most die hard suns fan forum on the net knows what Burr even means on a banner in the Suns arena, not good for Archie.

How many people sit up in that Burr Squad area? 1UPZ maybe? Anyone else?

I was going to judge Archie for trying to "make Burr a thing" and promote himself like that, but then I remembered that when I was that age I was really high one night and realized my initials, DMG, are the consonants in "damage," and thought it would be super cool if everyone called me DaMaGe. Thank god I didn't have access to Twitter in my college years.

Me too.

When I was Archie's age I was confident that "cut loose a deuce" would catch on as a catchphrase for taking a poop.

It didn't. But my consolation prize will be perplexing children with that phrase when I'm an old man

I like that. I might have to start using it at work. In a meeting "excuse me...gotta go cut loose a deuce....brb"

I was gonna say this thread derailed, but the topic is so nonsense to begin with that it´s just getting better and better.

I tried to replace "wow" with "whiiiish" when I was a kid. It got weird, specially because it was in portuguese, and it sounds even worse.
