great play by Chase!

Quake Griffin wrote:I disagree. It was the light hitting 8 hole hitter who had a right handed bat coming up right after him in a tie game.
He could have blown the Liberatore card after Barney for the lead off hitter.

He over managed it.
Just like he over managed putting Smoak on there. Boom.
Woulda been great to have Liberatore there instead of blowing him on the 8 hole hitter.

perhaps. but Coleman's big breaking pitch seems wildly effective against righties but that same pitch would be nothing more than a hanging changeup against lefties. but it was two outs with nobody out.

damn, game is over.
ehhhhh f it.

I guess we'll just have to ride this wave and hope they eventually play themselves out of it.

As much asthe bullpen is annoying the **** out of me, you can't walk into an AL East park where the ball flies out against a lineup like that and expect to win scoring 2 runs.

Any time Super Star Corey Seager wants to give us a 2 for 3, 2 for 4 night with some extra base hits, it will be welcome.
We're not going to be a good team AT ALL if he doesn't hit the **** baseball.

love Joc's HR but right now we seem a lot like the 90's dodgers who couldn't score much unless somebody went yard.

and god I hate that Dodge Challenger/Charger commercial with uncle Richie. brainless, pointless, and glorifying idiocy.. a lot like where our country is today.

Blue Crew vs. Blue Jays

Post#888 » by Ranma » Sat May 7, 2016 6:04 pm

The Dodger bats seem to have awakened today and we have Kershaw on the mound. I'm surprised he's already given up a run but the Blue Jays seem to be seeing his pitches pretty well today.

Hopefully tight lipped Kershaw tells us after the game.

Looked like he was mad at himself tbh.
Still was lame for Barney to look into our dugout after the hit. But I'd find it odd for Kershaw to just scream out loud to himself and not direct it at Barney if he was mad at Barney.

Dickey is trash.
I'm not impressed.

edit:
Promptly, the "I'm always comfortable with any lead we have" Dodgers give Dickey his first 1-2-3 inning of the day.
In for our hearts to be in our intestines hoping Hatcher or Baez get us to Kenley.

I don't know. I was catching up on posts and emails. Isn't Barney the former Dodger? So he and Kershaw were jawing at each other?

Edit: Oh, nevermind. It was earlier in the game and I just got on about 10 minutes ago.

Should be running the score up on Dickey.

Top of the order up with a 4-1 lead. Kershaw seems like he settled down.

Nope.
Utley out on one pitch.
Seager single.
Double play.

Puig Yesterday, Kershaw Today, Both Part of Our Tomorrow

Post#893 » by Ranma » Sat May 7, 2016 6:26 pm

It is Darwin Barney. I saw Puig's highlight throw yesterday and Kershaw with a milestone today.

Change to Bullpen in the Works

Post#894 » by Ranma » Sat May 7, 2016 6:36 pm

So Ryu and Bolsinger are starting rehab work on the mound. I just posted in the prospects thread tweets about Roberts considering Urias, De Leon, and Cotton for Dodgers' bullpen.

Am I the only one who thinks that Kershaw's results have been good but that he isn't throwing his best at this point in the year?

he isn't but he is also very mature now. his confidence is second to none. I love how he is now taking charge of being the best in baseball even when he doesn't have his best stuff, maybe Maeda is rubbing off of him lmao.

Something tells me we might need more than 4 runs to get this done Doyers.

Tough lineup. Power hitters.
Shaky bullpen.

Come on bats.

unbelievable.

WHo needs a base runner?
Not us.
We scored 4 runs in the 1st 3 innings.
We don't need to score anymore.
